Adelaine Caddel- We continue traveling for hours on end, entertaining ourselves by talking. Audrey was a good talker, so I let her to the job. I don’t like talking about my past and I like to be quiet. I learned that she was abandoned as a baby, dropped at the stairs of the castle. She had a maid, by the name of Leah, take care of her. I thought that was nice. We decided to make camp and rest. By the time I finished grabbing logs to make a fire, Audrey was snoring in our tent. I smiled and sat down. I heard a noise in the shadows of bushes and grabbed my sw0rd. Oliver comes out with a smirk on his face, and I roll my eyes. “Funny how it doesn’t take you long to revert to violence.” “Maybe if you didn’t scare me, I wouldn’t be stabbing this on the side of your arm.” He chuckled and sat down next to me. I stayed quiet, listening to the fireflies in the area. I loved the forest. It was like it had its own life full of different stories to tell. I smiled and I looked back at Oliver. He was looking at me but quickly looked away. I felt a small flush to my cheeks. I shook the thought and grabbed my sleeping bag. I knew I wasn’t going to sleep; it was my first time back in the forest. It was nice to lay down after traveling for so long though. Eventually, the crickets and subtle breathing of the forest helped sleep take the best of me. Author's note: I know it's kinda short so sorry!! I hope you like it though!!
