Tower of Calamities is a really simple game: you control a blue orb on the screen, which will follow your mouse. If you touch bad things, you die instantly. Survive a stage for long enough, and a gray orb appears. Running into said orb removes all the obstacles from the screen, and starts the next stage. There are seven different sin worlds to try out: click on one to go to it and it's suite of 5 levels. They were made in this order, and this is the order they go in Gauntlet mode (more on that in a second). Sloth- Careful planning and foresight will do you well in this land of marbles, musical notes, and clouds. Greed- Watch the slot machine in the center, and use that to determine what's coming at you next. Envy- Everything in here wants to follow and kill you or slow you down. There are green lines you'll get "stuck' on. Wrath- Get ready for some swarm-of-projectile induced claustrophobia! Lust- You're trapped inside of a heart cage thing, that makes it difficult to move. Invisible foes abound. NOTE: In the 3rd stage, the heart is just invisible. It actually dispersal for a bit in the 4th stage. Gluttony- The obstacles in here are only going to get worse as time goes on, so try to make your collection of that gray orb snappy! Pride- A mish-mash of elements from previous stages. Gauntlet mode is where you go through all 35 of the stages at once, with one life (fun!). It's supposed to be really hard so if you die don't feel bad.
Okay, so if you have any issues with some levels being super easy or hard or glitchy), please let me know! I did some rough balancing so that nothing's completely insane, but input is appreciated. Note gauntlet is supposed to be very hard to actually complete and it's more of a "high score" kind of thing (actually completing would be very hard). To do that, I ended up removing everything except the core of the game- dodging bullets! The seven deadly sins just kind of happened. I know that the colors of the sins aren't strictly correct, and that the sins aren't super well represented. I just went with the theme because it seemed like a solid way to make seven distinct worlds. Note that the game is meant to be a little hard- maybe not quite as tough as something like Megaman, but still challenging.
