Rules: 1. The pawn moves 1 space foward and captures pieces diagonally. When it is first moved, it can move 2 spaces foward. If a pawn moves 2 spaces foward next to an enemy pawn, the enemy pawn can capture it diagonally like it only moved one square. When a pawn reaches the other side, it can promote to a knight, bishop, rook, or queen. 2. Rooks move orthogonally (horizontal and vertical). 3. Bishops move diagonally. 4. Queens can move like rooks and bishops. 5. Knights move in an L shape. 6. Kings can move to the squares surrounding it. It can also do a special move called castling, where the king moves 2 spaces horizontally in either direction, and the nearest rook goes to the space on the other side of the king if 3 criteria are met: a. There are no pieces between the king and the rook. b. The king isn't in check. It also can't pass through check or land in check when castling. c. The king and the rook can't have moved before castling. So yeah that's all :D
