A species of invertebrate evolved to survive in the lower reaches of the hangers; they hide in large colonies inside pieces of scrap and grow over the years. The largest individual, often the firstborn, becomes the leader of the scrap while the other's growth is stunted and they remain small, squishy beings. Scrapstars are light pink in color, having a brown, squishy nasal and oral structure at the tip of each tentacle. They eat through these brown organs and catch their prey by excreting a sticky, acidic mucus from their brown snouts.
