Scratch Project Title: Tokyo Mew Mew | Season 1, Episode 2: A New Comrade, the Hero is a Real Lady (FUNimation English Dub) (2002/2008) (Part 1) Before the Feline Heroine Ninja Cat made her debut in 2009, there Tokyo Mew Mew(also the name of the team of heroines) in 2008 with this being one of the few major groundbreaking English Dubs of any Anime Show that has ever gotten an English Dub. This Version started an Anime Dubbing War against 4Kids up until 2012. This aired around 12:00 PM on FlameTV on Wednesday, February 14th of 2018 which actually marks it as the 10th Anniversary of the English Dub, but also it makes sense it first aired on that date because the anime also romance throughout the entire anime itself. When the show started getting reruns, all Episodes from Season 1 have the screen format adjusted to 16:4 instead of stretching the screen. Around Early 2006 during the final remaining Episodes for Season 2 of Mew Mew Power(4Kids English Dub) were being aired, ATN made arrangements with FUNimation Entertainment and TV Tokyo to work on an brand new English Dub for Tokyo Mew Mew that was set out to premiere on February 14th, 2008 for the very 1st Season. When viewers who didn't like the 4Kids Dub of said show overheard about the new English Dub, they decided to watch the first episode of the new English Dub, it was praised for being an massive improvement to the 4Kids Dub. It would be set out to have 10 Episodes for each Season resulting in the show to air from 2008 up until 2014 with 5 Seasons(with the final season split into 2 parts; Season 5A first aired in January of 2014 and Season 5B aired in June of 2014). Around early 2021, FlameTV got a call of wanting to know if they would like to make an English Dub for the Reboot of Tokyo Mew Mew, they would accept it and have it premiere in 2022. This was handled by both Crunchyroll and Flame Dubbing Studios. Episode Plot: While Ichigo Momomiya is on her first date with Masaya Aoyama, she is bathed in a strange light and sees herself being merged with a cat. Afterwards, she begins to display cat-like behaviors. The next day, Ichigo follows Masaya into a park, where a strange jellyfish-like creature takes over a rat's body, turning it into a monster. Ryou Shirogane saves Ichigo and gives her a power pendant allowing her to transform into Mew Ichigo. With her new powers, she defeats the monster, turning it back into a normal rat. Afterwards, Ryou refuses to explain what just occurred, so the newly arrived Keiichirou Akasaka offers to do so instead. Show Rating: TV-Y7/TV-PG/TV-14[it's possible some episodes had this rating instead due to some slight modifications to the atmosphere of the episodes(not all Episodes are TV-Y7/TV-PG, some of them may be TV-14 due to some slight altering that was made to increase the usage of blood.
