I've done updates on my Storm horses, Shroom horses and Blu horses, so now I'm updating on all of the ones by other artists! (this is part 1) 1-2] First, I tacked up Spot and took him on a hack! I haven't taken him on a hack in a while, but he really enjoys hacking so I think I'll start taking him more often. He's definitely my happy hackerrr 3-4] Next, I did a little bit of dressage practice with Queenie. She's a really good horse for beginners, but doesn't know some of the more advanced dressage moves so I may make her Piper's horse soon if she decides dressage is something she'd like to try! 5-8] Then I brought Bear into the round pen. This is my first time riding him as he's just had some time off to settle into his new home. I know it was a risky decision, but I couldn't be bothered to find a spare tack set so I rode him bareback. He started off well, we did some trotting, then just as we were changing the rein, he decided to buck! Luckily, I didn't fall off, but after that I decided it was safer to just lunge him instead so he could get his energy out, and sure enough, he bucked twice more on the lunge. Overall, he didn't do too bad considering he's had time off, but I definitely think he and Piper will be a good fit, especially as Piper loves spunky horses! Bear's also a better size for Piper to ride 9-10] Finally, I did some pole work with Stormsong in the arena. Her canter is beautiful and really smooth, I think Piper would like to ride her as well.
