As Roselette walked down the hallway, she bumped into someone—Leia Dumbledore, who was panicking. “What’s wrong?” Roselette asked, but her efforts went in vain. Leia stood there, shaking badly. Roselette gently made Leia sit down and held her hand in comfort. Leia laid her hand on Roselette’s shoulder. “My friends…” Leia said, calming down a bit due to the comfort. Roselette’s light brown eyes darkened. She knew that Leia’s so-called friends were the most toxic and malputative. “What did they do this time?” Roselette asked gently, even though her demeanor was the opposite. Leia replied, “T-they said if I don’t find a date for the Yule Ball, they would stop being friends with me.” Roselette rolled her eyes as her grip tightened on Leia’s hand—not enough to cause pain. “They said what?!” Leia jumped at her tone and nodded. “You will get a date. A handsome one, too!” Roselette said, determined. Leia looked up at her and asked, “Xavier?” Something—deep inside Roselette’s heart, even if she would never admit it—burned at the mention of him. Xavier and the ball. He hadn’t asked her out yet. Never even mentioned it. Why would he? To him, she was just a game. A fun pastime, nothing more. Leia’s voice brought her back to reality. “Rosie?” Leia said. “H-huh?” Roselette responded. “You good?” Leia asked. Roselette nodded. “Anyways, the person I was talking about was Luke.” “As in the Luke Lupin?!” Leia said, her cheeks blushing pink. “Yeah, why?” Roselette asked, noticing her friend’s obvious crush on him.
