1-3 This was the longest scene I was working on, as I wanted the water and tentacles to be seemingly transparent, however, it was difficult and inconvenient to simply place them on separate layers as scratch has a tendency to shift the palate of fading backdrops when in bitmap, so I instead placed them manually in separate layers. 1 as a base, 2 as indicating main colors, and overlaying spread, 3 as sections where the fade would impact the colors the most 4. This character had a previous character design and the orb to the left now needs some touch up that I did not notice when finishing, another incidence of the palate of fading components changing and becoming more solid, but all in all I am proud of how this section of the animatic came out 5. This part and section was one of the easiest, as it needed little trim up and changes, and due to that the faded background was not influenced much. The only thing I would change now is the hanging cloak/poncho of lefthand character, as it should be looser on the shoulders 6. One of the main reasons I choose to drop and move back from this animatic's production, is because of this scene. Though it was only in its sketch phase, it would also have been a layer intensive part, even more so than the 1-3 sections, with a glow, relative darkness, and competing light sources which I have no experience handling and didn't feel confident attempting.
