{Maturing} Maturing is realising Time will never rewind All the laughs All the happiness Was in a past life You wonder If the memories Were just a dream And you woke up From it all From the sunflowers and sunbeams. Maturing is realising There's no point You stay quiet because no one Listens to your voice Not because you don't want to You don't feel like it's a choice Because "No-one," you think "Would listen to my noise." Maturing is realising The sky is always grey And there'll be no more sunshine Just storms and rain And you can't tell the difference Between night and day Because darkness and shadows? They're basically the same. Maturing is realising You can't go back You will never re-live The memories you had And nostalgia Hits you And destroys and attacks Until there's nothing left Apart from pain and sad Sometimes you wish You didn't feel like this You wish that you Wanted, and aimed to live But at this point You feel like you just... Exist And at the end? Well, What is it?
This is my 1st poem so... Any tips? This poem is basically about feeling like life was better before, but you can't go back so you feel stuck and like there's ony ever gonna be darkness. Uhm Yeah
