This is for my RE homework! Also Other information: Where is this performed? It is performed in church, at home or even at hospital. Basically places where people might be bed bound or wanted this when they are at church. What is it? The Anointing of the sick is one of the 7 Sacraments. It is a sacrament that heals the person who is ill or going to a serious operation or of old age. Why do we do it? Christians do this as when they are anointed, the priest is anointed the person with God's grace. They heal the persons physical and spiritual wound with God's grace.
