This is a sprite based on 236, the former Newport Workshops pilot of Victorian Railways. Built by David Munro & Co as E506 on 21/8/1893 and used on suburban passenger service from 1893-1920. It became unclassed 236 and re-entered service as a shunter at Newport in August 1923. Was considered for preservation in early 1954, plans of which were executed after the engine was withdrawn in late 1954. It was restored to it's old green livery and displayed at Spencer Street in September 1954. Was moved to storage at Newport afterward. Finally placed at the Newport Railway Museum in 1961 where it resides today. NOTE: I will be constantly be adding changes/improvements to the model
