Soup who helped me out when I had Blender questions • the one person who works at the school my mom went to to train for her job. they do animations in blender and are the reason I decided to pick up the program again in the first place lol • my friend Em who gave me the idea of playing low-quality funkytown over this microwave-type spin • ezgif my beloved. thank you ezgif for tolerating and handling the 72MB gifs I put you through • cloudconvert my beloved file conversion site. cloudconvert helps me download music via questionably legal methods <33 hashtag pushing the limits of copyright and free use because this is scratch dot mit dot edu !!!!!!!! -—//://—- -—- extra yap: -—- yeah !! so! blender!!! lets go guys I unlocked the third dimesnion im no longrr limited to 2D….. im becoming more powerful… so like! a few years ago during the summer my dad was like. hey you and brothers should probably like. learn something over the summer. learn a skill take up a new hobby idk do something with ypur time. so I went.. Hmmm!!! maybe I’ll learn blender!! … thatbdidnt go well lol. I gave up after having hours of blender tutorials thrown at me when all I wanted was like.. a 15 minute video to teach me how to navigate the program (keyboard shortcuts and the different windows n whatnot) and then I could do stuff from there. but nope soo I kinda gave up on blender for a while…. till last year when I met someone at the electrolysis (permanent hair removal) school my mom was going to, and she made stuff in blender, so I asked her abt it and she said she just kinda. clicked around and Did Whatever !! so I went Hmmm!! what a fascinating concept I must experiment with this approach and then I sculpted a dragon head and an unfinished cat head in blender :] they werent anything special, they were like FULLY sculpted. I only used the sculpting tools nothing else bc I was taking it one step at a time. but hey it was a nice start!! then a few months later (around.. 9 months ago maybe?) I picked up the program again to try my hand at making a low-poly model of one of my OCs. it was very squarish and the proportions were a little off but I was happy with it nonetheless at the time :3 and then a few days ago I opened Blender again bc I wanted to make a model of Motley!! now keep in mind I did TECHNICALLY color the low-poly model I made previously, but I had no clue what I was doing and did NOT remember how I did what I did, plus it felt really inefficient. so this time around, I made the 3D model, did all the messing with the layout and the mesh/nodes/faces/etc, tossed some sculpting in there when necessary, blah blah blah and then bam! in like 3-4 days (2 days of actual modeling, I took a break for a day or two cuz I just forgot lol) I had the model done! basically. I mean it doesnt have a face but thats its own separate thing — Soup is gonna teach me how to do the thing with drawing a png for the face and mapping it over the sphere on the head when they host Blender Class for me and some friends in a few days lol um so yeah !! I’ve been modeling and learning and making stuff :3 -—//://—- -—- oh yeah life updates also. I’m homeschooled now! public high school was overwhelming and that was causing me to fail classes soo my parents just . pulled me out of public school and now I do home instruction. so I have more flexibility with my schedule I also start therapy tomorrow! technically I started therapy 3 weeks ago but then my parents got a response from another therapist they contacted and she seemed like a much better fit so theyre swapping me to see her instead. in fact my first appointment with her is tomorrow!! so thats good umm what else…. oh yeah sorry I havent been posting many projects lately. I’ve just been active on other sites, cough cough toyhouse cough cough. and also disco cord since a lot of my toyhouse friends are there too now! I think thats about it? yeah okay cyall when I post a project again whichll probably take like 3 months lol friendly reminder that it does get better, healing takes time! you are valid and loved by more people than you realize. go drink some water and have a wonderful day/night/afternoon/whatever! <3 -—//://—-
