At this point, I have been on this Scratch account for 4 years. I started Scratch in 3rd grade when I got a book from my grandma that was about coding in Scratch, I thought it looked interesting so I tried it out. It didn't go very well, I had no idea how to code or how to make sprites, so what did I do? Yeah I quit. It took less than a week for me to give up on Scratch. About a year later in 4th grade when everyone was at home because of the pandemic, I decided to play around with it for a little while, figure out the system. After about a month on Scratch I posted my first game: The Dark Country. It didn't do well at all. I thought it would blow up I don't know why. I mean, I had no prior experience with anything like this so I didn't know how hard it is to even get views. Needless to say that game failed horribly. But this didn't put me down, I kept trying for it, I made game after game, and animations not too far after. A year later when I was in 5th grade, my 4th grade teacher called me back to her class to teach them about Scratch and it went well. (By the way my 4th grade teacher has an account and it's actually still up @snalepa. There's nothing posted but I still think it's kind of cool.) I was getting better and better at making games, I was finally making good progress. Yeah I switched to animations only. That only lasted about 6 months until I switched to doing both. I made some of my favorite games like the first Spike Ninja game and Zelda Clicker, and these games still hold up to this day. Getting closer to now, and I had posted My Wild and Sarge's Blowout, some of my most successful games. Two years ago (2023) I announced Ark Aggeddon, my biggest game yet. I said it would be out by December that year. Yeah that didn't happen. So you might be wondering, where is Ark Aggeddon now? Well here you go: it's in my trash folder in unposted projects. I made my goal way too high with this project. The game became a chore more than a hobby, and I was no longer having fun making it. So I am still going to release what I have
