you can switch the costumes by pressing space! this works with any sprite since the code clones the sprite and sets the brightness to zero and makes the clone slightly transparent. works with backdrops!!! (sorta)
i got inspiration from those copy and paste menu platformer games. only here, it was coded from the ground up.
