Welcome to random dot exploration simulator! All you have to do is change the settings and run it, then sit back and enjoy the show! Once the simulation is running, press space to pause/unpause. You can also press (R) to reset the exploration and dot location, but everything else is kept. INFORMATION: > Rotation mode: how the dot will rotate each step >>> Random: sets it to a completely random rotation >>> Relative: rotates anywhere between both signs of the rotation input. Ex: ± 15° means anywhere between -15 and 15 degrees (including all numbers in between). Play around with values to see how they behave. > Steps / frame: controls how many steps will occur in one frame. The function uses "run without screen refresh" to try to run multiple actions in one frame. > Step distance: how far the dot moves each step. Simply just the number of pixels it will move each step iteration. > Pen thickness: determines how wide the area is that the dot explores. It's just the pen size to be used when drawing. > Draw mode: the colors to use for the exploration >>> Land on water: draw green on top of blue >>> Water on land: draw blue on top of green > Start: begin the simulation with the given settings. THERE IS NO CONFIRMATION BOX (not that it's a big deal if you accidentally click it though)
I got the idea to make this because I made something like it in Desmos for fun a little while back (https://www.desmos.com/calculator/iqrbrxhroa), and I wanted to make a "game" out of it. --- Music: CRIM3S - Lost (reversed + sped up) --- Credit goes to the original creator for this song. I modified it by simply reversing it and speeding it up. UPDATES: --- 1.01 --- > Added reset button (R) that resets exploration and dot location, but keeps everything else > Added pen thickness button
