—TERRITORY— Uxiria is located in the desert, the only one in Xena. Here, the sun beats down mercilessly, and at night, the wind brings a bone-numbing chill. Most of the kingdom is sand and sand dunes- there aren't many peninsulas or canyons, most of the land is flat, though there is a small part of the kingdom where there's a ton of rock formations. Cacti and bare trees dot the landscape. There are many oases scattered across the kingdom, and that's where most of the towns and cities are located near. Their homes aren't really considered homes to outsiders- most live out in the open, in their communities, and sleep in caves and nests. A select few live in tents scattered along the territory, and the ruling monarchs live in a castle- although not too grand of one, as it is rather small and plain-looking. It has no doors, to let hot air flow out during the day, but it does have a lot of guards. —LEADERSHIP— Quite uniquely, Uxiria has a council. The council has 15 members. They take turns ruling- each turn, three of them take charge of the kingdom while the other settle down with friends and family as commoners. Each turn lasts a year, and when the year is over, three new monarchs take lead. The most interesting part, though, is the identities of the monarchs. Their names, their families, their homes, their faces- all of that is hidden from the public. Only a monarch's families and their fellow monarchs know who they truly are. In the public, they wear cloaks covering every inch of their body- which is quite troublesome due to the hot climate, but it it tradition. Being a monarch, once chosen, is a lifetime appointment- and when one dies, the remaining monarchs choose someone from the many ranks of citizens to take the deceased monarch's place. —CITIZENS— The citizens of Uxiria mostly have no fur or feathers, having scales instead to survive the climate. Those who have fur or feathers keep them as short as possible. There are a select few that are cold-blooded, though, and keep their fur/feathers because even the desert climate is too cold for their blood. The citizens are generally more unwealthy. The kingdom isn't the friendliest to outsiders, though- outsiders have a high chance of getting robbed, and locals usually just ignore said outsiders under different circumastances. Uxiria is high in their thieves and assassins- due to those being some of the most successful occupations. As for occupations, weavers, mercenaries, and traders are the most commonly found occupations in Uxiria, though assassins and thieves are also extremely common in the wealthier towns and cities. Feel free to ask me if you want to know whether a role you want is valid here :) Education isn't a thing in this kingdom- young ones have to learn through experience, not through school. Families still educate their kids in speaking, reading, writing- but there's not much schools- all the existing schools are usually opened by outsiders, and pretty much no one actually attends them. —ECONOMY— Uxiria, similar to Taista-Ihha, makes it's economy mostly on art. They sell mostly rugs, cloaks, and tapestries in this kingdom, as they do have some extremely adept crafters. None of the other things they sell go well on the international market, though they do sell well in the kingdom itself. —TRIVIA— -Uxiria's patron god is Sol, god of pride- and perhaps the bossiest of all the Seven. -Though the identities of their monarchs are unknown, citizens of this nation frequently try to theorize on their identities anyway, quite unsuccessfully. (inspired by a certain book- if you can guess it then I will give you a witch slot, no joke) -Uxiria is the sister kingdom to Xire- they were both founded by the same family, and have been allies since they were first created. It's also the reason why their government systems are quite similar. -Uxiria, along with Taista-Ihha, are in barely any risk of invasion from the other kingdoms, as their land is practically uninhabitable to outsiders. -Uxiria was the first kingdom I created! (Xire technically came first but I changed it's concept A LOT, meanwhile Uxiria has pretty much stayed the same, so I dub it the first official kingdom).
