—TERRITORY— Hiivenullianh is located on the southern tip of the rainforest, having to share it with Vorcynien. Unlike it's northern counterpart, Hiivenullianh is less colorful- far less colorful. Yes, the trees shine in an emerald-green hue and sunlight illuminates the ground, but the flowers aren't as vivid, and the citizens themselves are far less eye-catching than the colorful feathered ones of Vocynien. Instead of rivers, Hiivenullianh is abundant in lakes and small pond, where a lot of young Hiivens enjoy skimming the surface of the water to practice flying. Lining the kingdom's far borders are a series of mines, rich in precious metals- Hiivenullianh's primary source of economy, and their pride and joy too. Hiivens don't build family houses- instead, each town has a structure they call their nest. Every single Hiiven in the town sleeps in one of their nest's rooms, all together. A lot of businesses are found inside the nests, too- so pretty much all towns are built solely on their nests. A lot of Hiiven families share nest rooms too. Visitors going to a town where they don't own a nest room will have to sleep in one of the spare rooms, or sleep outside. —LEADERSHIP— The leadership of this kingdom is surprisingly specific and straightforward- they are ruled by a council of 10 members. All of the members on the council rule at once- but no, they're not required to always be in the council nest. Instead, they live their daily lives every day, only required to go to the council nest once every two weeks to discuss things with their fellow councilmembers. Any councilmember can call an emergency metting if they wish so that all members will have to meet up immediately if something urgent happens, too. In their normal lives, councilmembers are treated like celebrities in the kingdom too- their family sometimes gets that fame also. Being a councilmember of Hiivenullianh requires said councilmember to have been born and raised in Hiivenullianh and at least 30 years of age, nothing else. Being a councilmember is a lifetime appointment- once one passes, the remaining councilmembers host a contest where eligible Hiivens can make a speech about why they should be councilmember, and the councilmembers will vote on the best canidate. —CITIZENS— Antennae? Multiple eyes and limbs? See-through, fast-moving wings? Armored scales? Silk glands capable of spinning said silk? Mandibles? Those are all common traits in the kingdom of Hiiven, where all of the Hiiven-born citizens resemble insects and bugs. Hiivens are naturally far smaller than other mortals in the world- the trees are close together and it's hard to fly through the branches and tight spaces of their part of the jungle, hence the small size. The antennae and the extra eyes were developed as safety- safety due to the fact that before kingdoms were established, the southern rainforest had many mortal-eating monsters in them (who have been driven to the brink of extinction already). The armored scales and extra limbs were developed for that purpose too- though now they just serve as useful weapons in times of war. The Hiiven government is rich due to their gold mines earning them a lot of profit- and they give some of that profit to the citizens. An unemployed Hiiven can be middle-classed for the rest of their life- that's how much the government provides to their citizens. It's also what makes a lot of outsiders move to this kingdom. The local Hiivens, in all their wealthy glory, look down upon outsiders, seeing them as a dirty speck in all their glory- unless said outsiders choose to become citizens of the kingdom, of course. Generally, visitors can expect some dirty glances, some mocking, restriction from some places, and a few whispers thrown at them- it isn't a kingdom full of tourists, but rather a kingdom full of mortals wishing to join it. Occupations in this kingdom include weavers(they use silk to weave, mostly), miners, mercenaries, wandering traders, scouts, jewelry makers, forgers and spies! Due to their patron god being Niira, the creator of witchcraft, Hiivenullianh has a high number of witches living in it's borders- far more than other kingdoms, and witchcraft is seen as an honorable job there. Feel free to ask me if a certain job is permitted! Education is highly valued in Hiivenullianh and it is required for each and every young Hiiven to attend them. Hiivens will attend school from 3 to 18. During earlier school, Hiivens will learn simpler things like writing, reading, math, science, history, geography- but once a Hiiven turns 10, then that all changes. All of the former subjects are ditched in favor for learning about economy, mainly- observing how the prices of goods rose in previous years, learning how to sell things to outsiders more convincingly, etc. Along with that the schools at that age will emphasize a lot on future careers, and more on the Council and how it runs, of course. (cont. from desc) —ECONOMY— As said above, Hiivenullianh's main source of economy is their precious metals. Having a huge minefield in their territory, the Hiiven council employs many, many miners to dig up the gold, which the forgers weld into accessories of precious metals. The jewelry-makers will then press their gems into the accessories, making Hiivenullianh the prime producer of jewelry. They also sell leftover raw ore to other kingdoms, too. It's made them all very, very rich. —TRIVIA— -Their patron god is Niira, god of lust and the creator of witchcraft- the reason why Hiivenullianh has so many witches in it's ranks. -Hiivenullianh was once very close to overthrowing Vorcynien, but Vorcynien had the support of other kingdoms, which prevented Hiivenullianh from being able to conquer it completely. -Hiivenullianh's name was made by me repeatedly bashing my fingers on the keyboard and turning that monstrosity of a word that I generated into the kingdom name, lol. -Not really related, but Hiivenullianh is my favorite kingdom I love my rich bug people <3
