The game might open where it asks you to press the Green Flag again rather than starting. This is due to a visual and game play glitch that triggers this screen to stop the game and ask for a refresh to fix the problem automatically. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Basic Information Welcome to the Cedar Cafe! This game was created at first as a scrolling platformer, with just the player character and the counter. Eventually, I strayed from that idea and made the coffee machine as an intractable item and then added the fruit crates. It would slowly evolve into the game we have now. The original plan was just drinks as me and a friend planned out the future of the game, but another friend recommended that a cafe has more than just drinks. By far the hardest system I had to implement was the merging system. Having the items recognize that they can't be placed, yet at the same time realize the player is attempting to merge was difficult to say the least. It took 2.5 hours to figure out, and yet, surprisingly, the system works great now. I know for certain there will be bugs. All the items were made in 1 sprite and most of the interactions rely on location, so don't be surprised if all your dough suddenly disappears for no reason when making a salad or if the Green Child starts to fly off the screen. I also may or may not have released the Game early when there was no Music or SFX. Everything else was done except for that. | 4/29/2025 (HOW DID SOMEONE MANAGE TO COMMENT IN THAT 5 MINUTE TIME FRAME I DON'T EVEN THINK IT'S POSSIBLE TO PLAY THAT FAST) ...I'm just not going to question it. No I will not make customers continue saying their orders because A) When you're at a restaurant do you always say your order at all times? Plate up has Telepathy, not chatty people. B) It makes the game more fun to succeed in, P ranks become a matter of Skill and Organization alongside Memorization C) That's the point. You're expected to remember, not the customer. The Music took longer than anything else surprisingly. You can change the background music with the jukebox by going over it while playing and pressing S. #CedarCafe #Games #All #heatstroke209 for Programming Assistance #CreeperGamerYT5_5 for Recommendations #IamnotVe for Recommendations #QuintEss3nce for helping me build the game from the ground up. #Games #Cooking #Strategy I am not a Creature of Steel.
