You may have to click "See inside" to get a good view. The general idea for the end product is that it seems like it once 'functioned' as a self-sufficient underground base and production facility. I /do not/ plan on making the game have lore (much as I would love to), but I want it to look like it was a fully-functional base before something happened to turn it into a war-zone. The larger regions that I'm currently planning are: - Power generation (probably geothermal), - A resource mining area - Ore refineries - A production zone - A hangar, for lack of a better word, where you can see a new ship being built (referencing the one that crashed in Robot Destructor) - A glowing crystal cavern area, - A "rift" area, where you can see sunlight (And possibly also rain sometimes? It depends. It does damage robots, after all. But it /would/ be interesting to make an area that has dynamic platforms and hazards.) streaming down from the surface, with sparse plant-life growing beneath. - A storage area, kind of like the one in Robot Destructor, but likely not in the way you're thinking.
@--Styx-- get over here. To make the map easier to navigate, all players will have the ability to wall-jump without using a perk slot on it. Also, because I'm not letting the Super Shotgun get power-crept, the maximum vertical jump+tech movement is the same as the Super Shotgun can reach with two frame-perfect boosts. There are ways planned to get higher than that, but they would work for the Super Shotgun too. ALSO, I may have figured out a way to (in a really janky way) spectate another player's screen as both you and them are in-game. I'm thinking about using it for players who are on your team, but I want to hear your thoughts on it. ALSO, I still haven't fully figured out the lighting system I talked about. If I want it to look good, the game runs at two frames per second, and it I want the game to run fast, then the lighting looks absolutely awful. I may be going about it in the wrong way, but I don't think it's an optimization issue on my end. I'm pretty sure it's just a limitation of the language itself, which I don't know how to fix. TL;DR: We may not have cool shadows :( I think that's it for now. My apologies that this was such a small update, I've gotten a lot more done behind the scenes, but it's not quite ready yet. Please help me with the layout of this if you have any ideas, and as always, continue giving me your excellent advice, suggestions, and feedback. Thank you!
