—TERRITORY— Ehystye is the kingdom in the shallow seas, and their home is filled with bright-colored coral reefs of all shapes and sizes. The reefs themselves are filled with marine life- tropical fish, mainly. They border Xire- but then, on the other side of them, there are unclaimed seas stretching all the way to Ovarnthi. Ehysti love pretty things, and the open seas are too plain for them- so they've never bothered to swim there, anyway. Ehysti don't have homes- they all live among the coral that they call home. It shelters them, protects them- that need do they have for what the creatures above call home, if they have all this coral for themselves? —LEADERSHIP— Instead of the normal leadership, Ehysti's ones are based on their love for everything shiny. There isn't a proper way of finding who gets on the throne- there are just leaders. Citizens who want the throne just fight the leaders for the spot. It's an eternal war, the throne. The reason why most citizens even want to rule is because rulers have a huge treasure hoard- greater than most. The rulers themselves frequently squabble on who's collection is the largest and grandest, too. They each watch their hoards a lot- a ton of Ehysti try to steal from them behind their backs. —CITIZENS— The residents of this underwater kingdom are brightly colored- just like the coral reefs they live among. They have intricate swirled patterns on their scales too, resembling the reef fish they swim by them. They look a tiny bit like Ovarnthians- but of course, no oversized fangs or glowing scales, so they look far less intimidating than their counterparts. Ehysti take on guarded personalities- they are wary of raids from Xire or a rogue Ovarnthian, even wary of others trying to touch their treasure hoards. They are accepting to foreigners, though, despite not choosing to interact with them all too much. The thing that they love, though, is boats who sail through the Ehysti seas- they always check those out, in hopes of getting shiny things or coins from those above. Because Ehysti doesn't have a proper government, they barely even have jobs or occupations- they mostly just do their business daily. Ehysti are taught to fend for themselves- a young Ehysti will learn skills in life through experience, nothing more. Parents leave their children at pretty young ages too- it truly is a "survival of the fittest" type environment. —ECONOMY— Ehysti don't have much use for money- their only use for coins is to buy pretty things from land-dwellers on boats, or trade amongst each other. Some even find coins pretty, and use them in their hoards. So, Ehysti collect their coins via visitors, my scouring the ocean floor, or by ways that *cough cough* may not be exactly legal. They swim up to the surface, searching for boats to barter with- the richer the boat, the more fine crafts it has on it, the more Ehysti seek them out for. They love their hoards of valuables, and money is what they use to grow them. Children in Ehystye, in particular, love doing this, but really, it's a common hobby for all. —TRIVIA— -Their patron deity is Mayfly (gluttony)! They're quite the vain one- legend says that in their mortal days, they loved collecting treasure while war raged on in the upper lands, but it's just a rumor. -Ehysti are very superstitious of witches- no matter what, anyone who is caught performing the art of witchcraft will be chased out from the kingdom, out to the outer oceans. It's due to a long history with issues caused by witches. -The outer oceans are a place of exile to them- that's where the traitors are sent. -This kingdom concept was created by !
