The InGen deinonychus was made in a time between 1986 and 1990. John Hammond at that time, still didn't know the limit to how much he could modify his dinosaurs and as a result... deinonychus had an incomplete and under-developed ability to mimic and mock animals. This trait made deinonychus have severe throat problems. As it was developed, InGen decided to fix it by turning the genomes and modifying them once again to make utahraptor. Utahraptor had similar sounds to the deinonychus as a result of being part deinonychus. In an attempt to kill off the imperfect deinonychus, over half of the InGen armed personel were lost making for a tragic massacre, since then the deinonychus resorted to cannablism to stay alive, as there were around 50 deinonychus made they were able to stay alive for long enough to escape, leaving only 3 of the original deinonychus.
