i think i've seen some of these attacks before... still a WIP with some polishing required, but has enough attacks for me to upload =========================================== CONTROLS wasd: move around q: dash in the last direction you moved e: attack with your current shield g: switch shields f: use shield ability space: toggle shield lock-on =========================================== SHIELDS normal - 15 dmg passive: deflector - able to deflect certain attacks for a large sum of health in return, dealing damage to the boss. missile - 30 dmg, double cooldown active: portable rocket launcher - launches a rocket that does 50 damage that costs 10 hp and a 20 second cooldown. requires this shield to be equipped, shield lock-on to be disabled, and the cooldown to be over. because of this ability, this shield cannot parry. =========================================== ACTIVE BUFFS passive: overheal unit - allows being overhealed to 150 health from lifesteal. overheal decays by one hp every third of a second, lasting approximately 16.5 seconds in total from max overheal. =========================================== BOSS INFO health: 1250 attacks: 5/7 completed second phase: no can enrage: no attack type: deja vú (you feel like you've seen some of these before... maybe the same strategies will apply?) special abilities: random crits (10% chance for a normal attack to be replaced with a crit, which makes it deal 3x as much damage. the 3x damage isn't reflected with parries) =========================================== SPARK TYPES yellow: parriable. nothing else to say orange: precise parry. normal parries turn into precise because 1: game code checks if you're hit first and 2: you have a more strict timeframe to parry, approximately 1/20th of a second. blue: unparriable. just avoid it. black-white gradient (starting from center): parriable crit. you can parry it (timing depends if base attack was precise or not), but no extra damage or health bonus will be granted. white-black gradient (starting from center): unparriable crit. 3x damage like all other crits, but can't be parried. =========================================== GENERAL TIPS abuse the lifesteal from parries and your overheal unit. you know how demoknight mains in tf2 HATE other people with slightly more mobility than them? just keep that in mind, maybe it'll be a bit useful. so just a friendly reminder that parries heal you!! i haven't figured out how to check if the boss is touching you while it's gliding (until the 5th attack), so i had to use a specific workaround. keep in mind i'm not good at movement prediction systems. dashing is important for evasion; spamming your dash is a good way to be caught in the face of a stronger attack that could've been avoided otherwise.
