I’m sorry.” Backstory(Simplified): Hephaestus always felt guilty, mainly because his brother always took the blame whenever he was the one supposed to be in trouble. Their mother’s punishment was always severe, no matter what, so Vulcan, his brother, often got extremely hurt. Hephaestus looked up to his big brother completely, he was a better parent figure than their actual mother. He met Julus, and Julus took advantage of his innocence, using him. Then… it happened. Vulcan attacked him. The only reason Hephaestus survived was due to him playing dead, but everything changed. Vulcan wasn’t the same… and Hephaestus began to hate him. He didn’t want to see him that way but he was different now… He had no choice but to see him that way. Then, Hephaestus discovered his atom manipulation powers, and was being reckless with it. Unaware of what it did… he accidentally shot a Z-Boson ray through Prosper's(his past lover) face, he didn’t know what it did… he didn’t mean to… Hephaestus was then blinded by rage and accidentally k!113d Augustus, his best friend.. and to his dismay, Vulcan saw. Vulcan reported it to the leader, as their star had gone supernova and they needed a new “star”, and teamed up with Hayden, Hayden being his alibi. They attempted to throw Hephaestus into Dionysus’s black hole, but Hephaestus escaped. He ran away, he lost his enthusiasm entirely, and he changed his name to Spade, not wanting to be related to Vulcan in any way.
