Kenny wasn't an anxious cat, but did he have an ounce of confidence for the parade? Shockingly, not really. He knew his skills. He knew the only event he had a snowball's chance at was the interview. Was he going to try anyways? Absolutely. He let out a sigh as he stepped through the curtains. Whatever. Smile through it. Act confident. At least some people would buy it, he knew that already. Oh crap, he was flying. Kenny froze for a moment, gazing down at the distant Capitol city beneath him, it was so far. The distance was dizzying. He felt his eyes closed. It wasn't that he was afraid of heights, he just wasn't used to them. And he wasn't always that good with the whole adjusting thing. That's when Kenny noticed the Capitol beneath him. Great. Wonderful. He could only hope they didn't see his uneasiness. That they were too distant. This really wasn't going well. Wait, what was that? Lavender lights drifted up towards him. They matched the giant one overhead. His eyes widened, shining with a newfound wonder at the new sight. As they floated up, they drew Kenny's gaze with them. Beautiful lanterns slowly danced in the sky, an array of light and color. Stars glittered and a dim moonlight shined down. It was beautifully halcyon. He took a deep breath. What was he doing? He wasn't going anywhere by being a frightened mess. Kenny steeled his nerves and forced himself to sit in the balloon, wrapping his tail over one paw in a relaxed pose, despite any inner turmoil, and waved. Kenny wore a pair of sunglasses and a violet suit. Golden designs were ingrained into the fur, small, embroidered flowy threads, like the sort of designs you might find on an old picture frame. A long golden cape was attached to his neck, which had violet wing designs embroidered into it, along with much of the same on his suit. He pulled down the sunglasses, forcing a smile. He took deep breaths, taking in the view, */just smile and wave/* He told himself.
