The outfit has been preplanned, long before Vera had ever stepped into the dressing room, much to her displeasure. Cascading ripples of gold met her eyes when she stared into the mirror. At first she was completely mesmerized by how the glitter and lights, somehow a part of the thin flowy fabric, made it look like rolling waves of a sunset ocean. Then, in typical Vera-fashion, she was upset that her outfit wasn't in pink. Why did she have to be from such a stupid district? A poor one who's main feature was wheat? Would anyone in the Capitol take her serious wearing such a drab color as wheat yellow. It does look rather similar to a light gold though. Just as pretty as gold. More pure and elegant looking even. It still wasn't pink though, and pink is her color. Well she didn't have time to complain about the color, as her team of stylists took her away from the mirror to assemble the rest of her outfit. Wheat yel- light gold sandals with seemingly real diamonds embedded into them. A flower crown that was definitely made of real gold! Despite the thinness of the petals, it was still so heavy it bore into Vera's head and was giving her a massive headache. It wasn't even that stylish. And they could've just given her living pink roses! The only thing that was pink were her colored eye contacts she always wore. The stylists told her they thought about swapping them out, but decided it would be better for her popularity within The Capitol if she always had one common thing about her appearance, and the pink heart-shaped contacts were more interesting than anything the other tributes usually wore. Yeah that's right. Vera knows how to dress herself perfectly fine! After she was done being poked and prodded by these irritating strangers who totally didn't give her enough credit for her wonderful ideas, and were seemingly really bad at using accent colors, she was ushered onto a platform. She assumed it was her chariot, the rest of it hidden by the floors and ceilings of the building. For once she had actually made a smart assumption. The curtains closed around her and honestly she couldn't wait to be taken through the isles of Capitol citizens. Maybe a billionaire would see how stunning and amazing she was and instantly decide to adopt her! Yeah. That would happen. Suddenly a jolt of movement made her fall down to her paws. The currents pulled aside and as she got back up on her feet she realized just what had happened to make her fall. She was in the sky! All around her huge beautiful hot air balloons filled the sky, each with one of the other tributes. The ground below her was filled to the brim with citizens of The Capitol, holding up signs for whatever cat had seemed cool to them during The Reaping. Mesmerized by it's beauty, she lost a few seconds of time to talk to The Capitol, instead choosing to stare at the sky. Well at the balloons actually. Unlike some of the tributes from other districts, District 9 had stunning skies most days. Soon she snapped back to reality. She needed to talk to her fans! Convince them to adopt- sponser her throughout the games! With no fear of heights to be had, she walked over to the edge of the chariot, staring now at the ground to the probably millions of cats below. The first thing she spotted was the insane outfits. Even if she admired the beauty of The Capitol, she really thought that some of the clothing they wore was extremely tacky. Not refined in the slighest. Expensive yes, but tacky. Mind shifting away from the clothing, she then realized why the stylists had given her a headset microphone. Her fans would be much easier to talk to through this.
Quickly she spotted a sign with her name on it! Maybe her elegant beauty (mental breakdown) at The Reaping had gathered her some fans! "Hi!!" she shouted as she rushed to the part of her chariot closest to the fan. "Your hat is absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for choosing to support me. You've certainly chosen the most beautiful tribute in The Games." Vera proceeded to punctuate her sentence with a twirl. The golden water-like waves of dress even more lovely when twirling. "Thank you, cats of The Capitol, for coming to see me during the parade! Please consider choosing to support me during The Games. I'm much more refined than the rest of these district-folk. And you can see how well I can dress!" She then turned to the other side of her balloon, almost tripping on something on her way across. Of course she didn't trip, it would make her look undignified, but almost. Peering down at what she had almost tripped on, it was a basket of roses! Specifically a basket of light gold roses that glimmered similarly to her dress, just constantly instead of in wave-like motions. Oh! These were to throw down to the fans. She picked one up to see if it would do any serious damage to the cats below her. It was way lighter than she expected. Probably wouldn't even hurt a fly. Actually it would... maybe not a dragonfly though. Making it to the other side of the chariot, and the balloon having flown quite a while foward, she now faced a completely new audience. "Hello, Capitol citizens! I'm Vera, the only tribute you'll ever see dressed this fabulous!" she said, doing a twirl. "Half of this outfit was my idea actually. I wanted it in pink though. Pink is totally my color!" She then scanned the crowd for a cat wearing pink. "Just like you, ma'am! Your pink shall perfectly compliments the color of your claws," she chirped as she threw down a rose to the cat wearing pink. "A rose for you and your fantastic fashion sense!" "And roses to all of you lovely felines! You all look stunning tonight!" Throwing out about half of the roses she had left in her basket, she realised the crowds up ahead looked less dense. Maybe the parade was close to ending? She should move to the other side of the chariot again to get some more fans from over there. "Sorry, but I'll have to leave you all for now. I hope you all have a wonderful Games, and decide to root for the most well-dressed tribute!" The rest of the parade followed suit of what she had been doing previously. No special encounters or defining moments, but she certainly looked stunning. Her chariot was also sure to draw in attention, with the fairy lights dangling from all four sides, drawing great amounts of attention to her, and the fancy gold lettering stating her name and district. She just worried she wasn't iconic enough. No huge moment to make her stand out from the rest. But she was pretty. That should be enough right? Well, time to return to dreary old training.
