I figured out one part of the problem: it only conserves/regains stamina by standing still, which gives the player a big room to take health down, but now it's able to conserve/regain stamina by also moving without using any attacks I also made the sprites smaller, because bigger boss equal bigger hitbox
the flashbacks/jumpscares are what the PLAYER sees!!!!! not the boss!! my drawings are poor so I guess that's where the misunderstanding comes from
