read the chart yeah and the notes and credits Top row is # of upvotes, left column is # of downvotes. Green means above or equal to two-thirds threshold and red is below two-thirds. Black means we don't have enough managers to get this combination (15).
So this used to be another graph I made when we were working out the new system. Previously I was pretty confused, you can see the whole rant as well as the original graph inside the project. The gist is that I interpreted "6 upvotes" as "6 net votes," so 6 net votes is 1000 upvotes and 994 downvotes. But I think what it actually means is 6 upvotes, so 6 upvotes and 0 or 2 or 1000 or a billion downvotes. But I'm pretty sure I got it now, so I updated the graph into this graph. So to summarize, the manager promotion system requires 1) you get at least 6 upvotes and 2) at least two-thirds of the total votes must be upvotes. Total votes are amount of upvotes plus amount of downvotes, and neutral votes do NOT count. So you can see the possible combinations and whether they lead to a promotion or not. Green means promotion, red means no promotion. Anything less than 6 upvotes do not meet requirement (1) so they are not on the chart. Btw this is the current CHQ manager promotion system for those who are utterly confused.
