idk what triggers might be in this, haven't read it in awhile lol- +++++ The day I died was kind of strange. Everything about it was normal, except that bird kid from English, but he was always… off. I was just out of Maths, heading for Psych Ed, when I felt lightheaded. I dropped to the floor and grabbed the side of my locker, breathing heavily. Ever since I was 9, I had these little attacks where I got lightheaded, and sometimes fainted. It… hadn’t gotten better. It seemed to come with anxiety, but… nothing was happening at the moment. But then, who to walk around the corner but Etho Slab himself, holding a bit of redstone. Etho looked surprised, as I was literally clutching the side of my locker, books strewn around me. He knew about the attacks, and he moved to help me, before he realized I would bite his arm off if he tried. He hesitated as I grunted and breathed hard, before putting his redstone down and holding out a shaky, nervous hand to help me up. Of course, he had never helped me with the attacks before, so the idiot didn’t know that if I stood up I might faint while standing up, and get hurt. Of course, I couldn’t tell him this, so I just did the most reasonable thing, and kicked him. He jumped back, unhurt, but rolled his eyes. He picked up my books and put them back in my backpack and locker, before looking me dead in the eyes. “See you soon.”, was all he said before leaving me there. Eventually, I fainted, and a few minutes later I woke up, slowly blinking awake, I saw a winged figure sitting beside me, worried. “Cleo!! Are you okay?” The figure said. Focusing on him, I saw he was the same bird kid from English. “How- how did you know my name…?” I mumbled. He smiled weakly. “It’s on your MID.” I sat myself up, seeing he had my medical necklace in his hands. “Oh.” I responded, feeling mildly annoyed I hadn’t realized that. Of course, this kid had some courage, coming up to me. “Pretty brave, huh..?” I asked, smiling. I brushed myself off and ripped my necklace from his hands, putting it back on. “What’s your name, kid?” The bird’s wings rippled nervously. “Xel- G- Grain. I mean Grian. It’s Grian.” He stammered. I snorted and pulled my hair back into a ponytail. “Thanks for making sure I was okay, Grian.” Suddenly, something hit me. “Wait, *you’re* Grian? What’s your last name?” Grian looked nervous. “Uh… I don’t really…” Finally he sighed. “It’s Moon. G- Grian Moon.” He repeated. “Oh, you’re Pearl’s little brother.” I said, the thought finally hitting me. “Well, thanks, Grian.” I turned on my heel and ran away, towards the gymnasium. Surprisingly, that wasn’t the weird part of my day. As I ran to the gym, I was stopped by Mr. Wels, who everyone called him Coach Hels. “Uh… hi!” I muttered. He raised his eyebrow as we walked into the gym. “Okay class, now that Ms. Dark is here, we can finally start.” He turned to her. “As we were going to be talking about pulses today, Cleo, you can start. Please check your pulse for the class.” Chuckling nervously, I took my pulse. I moved my fingers, frowning. After a few more seconds, Mr. Wels looked at me, questioning. “All good, Cleo?” My friend Gemini Tay walked up and tried to take my pulse, but she ended up walking away, confused. Mr. Wels turned to me. “Okay…… Uhm, Gemini, can you please take your pulse?” After that, nothing else happened, except for a few strange stares from other students. I heard a few murmur a new insult, ‘Zombie Cleo’. I shrugged, it didn’t really sound that bad. But still, I was puzzled why neither me or Gem could find my pulse, when usually I had the strongest pulse in the school. Even after gym, I heard the name pop up, and saw people pointing, and whispering. I didn’t care. During lunch, I sat down by myself, no one was coming near me, and Gem was already sitting with her friends. Eventually, I saw Etho walking towards me. Thinking about it, I knew every other table was full, but why did it have to be *him*? I grunted and let him sit down beside me, though he could’ve sat on the other side of the table. He smiled weakly and nudged my shoulder. “So… Zombie Cleo, huh? What happened?” I glared at him. “I couldn’t find my pulse, and neither could Gem.” Suddenly, I realized my heart wasn’t beating either. “What the-” Etho took one look at my pale face and his eyes widened. “What- what’s going on, Cleo?” I panicked, not even caring who was here. “I can- I can’t feel my heartbeat, Etho!” I muttered, clutching the table. He stared at me, eyes wide. “..What?”
Never planned on posting this, but *shrug* I will probably still post projects, as I do need to continue with Watcher's Grail and the other Lavender Eyes crap, but I'm not going to be checking messages, and it's tempting to check, so try to avoid talking to me if you can, but NO PRESSURE if you do want to message me before I come back! Returning to the void now! <3
