★★★ STORY ★★★ After Appel and Grappel dissapeared, peace was somehow restored, and many wondered if Appel’s deeds weren’t as good as they seemed. Many civilians still kept to Appel’s side, but others have flocked to the mysterious Appelmoeshapje elder Freyr who believed that all of the twin brothers’ legacy must be destroyed. This led Freyr to create a doppelgänger of Appel in his own lab known as Lappel whose sole mission is to exploit, destroy, and discover the secrets of Appel’s labs. However, there’s more to Lappel than Freyr thinks.. ★★★ WRS and Verifications ★★★ Verifications: Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, and 10 are verified by me 6 and 8 are technically verified by LionCoder10 LOL. Forum for WRs: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/819918/?page=1#post-8528536 ★★★ CONTROLS ★★★ (with parts from Griffpatch and Michael Chan) • Arrow Keys to run, jump & crouch • Wall Jump - by touching a wall and pressing 'up' • Spikedge - land on the very edge of the platform to avoid the spikes • Side Jump - click the opposite arrow key, and then jump + the original side of the wall* • Fall Jump - Drop down a ledge without jumping, lean on a wall, click the opposite arrow key, and then jump. • Litejump - Do a micro-jump, crouch after you jump over a semi-tile, hold right, and release the jump. • Stick to me - by holding up • Q + R - to quickly restart the level (You'll lose your checkpoint progress though.) • Mega-Side Jump - by performing a side jump after falling or using a trampoline without jumping. • Blind levels - you can’t see a lot of the level, so you need to memorize the format, they often require side jumping. • Fluid gameplay - this is when a section of gameplay can only be completed without stopping, it is usually harder than “rigid gameplay” where you can stop before each jump. There are multiple styles of side jumping/wall climbing which I have created names for: Speed climbing: The classic style of side jumping, which is explained earlier. Stair jumping: A more broken-down version of side jumping that I use to traverse side stairs. It is performed by rolling your hand through the keys towards the wall you are climbing on. For example, on the left you would do right up down repeatedly. God wall climbing: This is performed by holding the right arrow key and using d and w for the other movements, instead of one or the other. Moo climbing: Named so after I got my pinky stuck to the keyboard with milk, it is similar to god wall climbing except it is the opposite (the a key is held and the right and up arrow keys are used for the rest of the motion). Advanced techniques: Breezy Climbing: Uses the same basis as god wall climbing, except that the right arrow is used instead of d, it is less consistent, but faster. Dual side jumping: I simply do it to make things harder. You perform this by using both wasd and the arrow keys to side jump simultaneously. Offset side jumping: After an accident with dual side jumping, I discovered a moderately fast side jumping technique. It is performed by side jumping using both wasd and the arrow keys, but one after the other instead of simultaneously. Space climbing: The least consistent one, it is performed by using all three sets of keys. You hold either a or the left arrow, you press either the right arrow or d, and you press space to jump. Comment other skills I should add.
