This might need turbowarp to run smoothly. Also, I am rarely updating this, it is not under constant work, so it may take a bit of time for an issue to be resolved, or something else to be added. I also made it WAY easier for other people to do, since I got a little too good at the platforming... You can use your Nail in all 4 directions, you can focus Soul (UNFINISHED), you can dash with the Mothwing Cloak, you can wall jump with Mantis Claw, you can double jump with Monarch Wings, you can super dash with Crystal Heart (UNFINISHED - though mostly finished), and you can pogo on spikes. Also, there is an addition of Vengeful Spirits(UNFINISHED), though it currently does nothing other than looking cool - though you can fire it, and it will consume soul. Bit pointless since you don't have any enemies, but I thought it would be fun. EDIT: you can shoot the Lifeblood cocoons, though. It will still give you lifeblood, too! NOTE: if you die, click the flag and WAIT UNTIL YOUR CHARACTER IS DONE WITH FLASHING, THEN CLICK THE FLAG AGAIN. do NOT click the flag when the character is NOT done flashing. Unfortunately, it is not complete. Focus and Crystal Heart don't have all of (or any) of their animations, and the system of unlockable abilities are not available. Also, I do not have a decent text engine. So I had to revert to the scratch text engine. CONTROLS: Arrow Keys - Move / Direct Nail Z Key - Jump X Key - Nail C Key - Dash A Key - Focus S Key - Super Dash D Key - Vengeful Spirits Q - Toggle Debug Menu (allows you to manually change your Soul: see the Soul Meter in action!) To talk to the NPC, Moorh, click the up arrow key. Progress speech by clicking space. CREDITS: Team Cherry for the game Hollow Knight theresa111 for all art, coding, and sprites - I added on to some of the costumes, added lifeblood cocoons, the soul totem, changed background and floor texture, extra spikes, NPC, geo, achievements, faster super dash(a.k.a. crystal heart) and vengeful spirits ;) - check out the original project for the complete differences. Credits to tonynsc for the geo mechanics - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/356674895/ - check out the project! Credits to Mr-Mathmatical for the way the talking mechanics work. A tip for the Crystal Heart - it will only activate if you are not clicking any of the movement keys - so if I was trying to cling to the wall, and I was holding the right arrow key to do so, I can't activate Crystal Heart until I stop holding the right arrow key down.
*LARGE RENEVATIONS COMING SOON*\ -Ideas for expansion: Better enemies - my current enemy that I have right now is an aspid, but it uses completely basic code and large amounts of hitboxes, so it needs a renovation to be complete. I also want to add other enemies once they are fixed, such as wandering husk, crawlid, and vengefly. Better geo mechanics - this one shouldn't be overly complicated to fix, and goes hand-in-hand with better shop mechanics, too. Better entity stacking - In my code, you might notice multiple of the same things, such as multiple geo rocks, lifeblood containers, and soul totems - this is because I was still a more 'moderate' coder, and I wasn't able to compress them. Which I will eventually try to do. Better shop mechanics - right now, the shop is BUGGY. So I am eventually going to try and fix that, preferably after the geo mechanics have been resolved... A Shade - I want the death mechanics to work, cuz right now...(shudder) And a boss! - This is because the kingsoul 'charm' is too easy to get to, so a boss will be guarding it eventually(probably mawlek) That is likely all I will add, because I would have to do a lot more in order to expand, and I like the idea of it being easily remixable and easy to understand. I thought that the original project was really cool, and I wanted to expand - though if I could, I would add more rooms. I added a lot more spikes(just for fun - I'm weird that way) - it makes it more challenging - you need to have platforming skills to get to the end and back. SHADE DOES NOT WORK. If you die, consider restarting, because the shade refuses to work as of now. I will attempt to fix this, but I need to know more before I am able to fix it. Also, for some reason, when you purchase an item, the geo counter does not show the second geo number. This is much easier to fix than the shade problem, so it will likely be fixed long before the shade is. -finally got a bench! toke a while to start making it for some reason. And now, shades are soon to be added... -*puff puff* just finished the death mechanics. also, there is a glitch that happens if you get hit by an aspid shot at the gate part - it glitches you into the gate and you get stuck, so try to avoid that... I will try to fix it, but since I nearly broke the entire game trying, I am leaving it until I have more knowledge of what happened. Note that not all of Moorh's purchases work yet...and that charms will eventually become possible to equip instead of them naturally being added to your character. -New rooms added! More coming soon. -Added a charm! King soul - gives +1 soul per tenth of a second. All rooms are possible - I tried them myself. - I always try my own rooms to see if they are possible beforehand. If they are not possible/way too hard, I alter them. Also, if you need lifeblood early, just go into the room above you when you first spawn in. Currently, the maximum amount of geo countable is 99. What I mean by "countable" is the maximum amount of geo the geo counter can count up to before it gets out of whack. Each geo rock gives 15 geo in total, and takes 4 hits to completely break. You will know if the geo rock is broken when it no longer produces geo, and once it releases a large silver geo that looks different from the rest; this geo is worth 5 geo instead of 1. (Also, you can pogo off of the broken geo rocks - I decided that I don't want to fix this ;) UPDATE: Moorh the NPC will take 30 geo to give you convenient access to a soul totem. Though I recommend getting the achievement before buying the soul totem. If you are interested in that, anyway. Also, for some reason, he takes all of your geo, not just 30. I have no idea why this happens; I am still working on how to fix it. -Fixed! for the most part. Maximum Lifeblood available: 6 masks Maximum Geo available: 60 geo Maximum Soul available: 66(soul totem only) Total Lifeblood Cocoons: 3 Total Geo rocks: 4 Total Soul Totems: 2 Crystal Heart and Vengeful Spirits can destroy lifeblood cocoons, geo rocks, and flip the lever. Added gates and an enemy! an aspid hunter. - An arena is now in the game. More rooms to explore! I am probably going to add more challenge to the rooms to get king soul, lol - they are probably to easy right now. If it is too hard, click b to give yourself full soul, and L to give yourself +2 lifeblood. >:) - and yes, the lifeblood will go off of the screen, but it will cluster at the end. And if the rooms seem impossible at some parts, don't worry. With enough practice, you can complete them - I even did a no-hit for the whole area. It is also possible to almost never touch the ground the whole way through.
