It was a most enjoyable spring day, warm with a slight, but satisfying cool breeze, when I made it a point to head to the markets. Earlier that morning, I had been so engrossed in spring cleaning and taking calls from friends and others in my community about the church lawn sale, the annual spring picnic, and other community festivities that I had not had any breakfast. By ten o’clock, I was purely famished after working for four hours with no rest. Quickly, I headed to my pantry to find a mid-morning snack, yet when I opened the door, I found one lonely pack of saltine crackers. Though I was in no mood at all for the dry, salty, and slightly tasteless things, I gobbled them up with no hesitation. At that very moment, I decided to head to the markets. So, I dashed to my foyer, put on my pale green travel cloak, brown leather travel boots, and my dark green hood. Lastly, before heading out the door, I snatched up my purse. After closing the door and turning to lock it, I tried to step out on to the path, when I bumped into a rather tall, statue of a man - a wizard. A wizard wearing a dark red robe and matching hood. Startled, I jumped back, but then I noticed that this wizard was no ordinary wizard. He had everything you would expect a wizard to have: a robe, a hood, a wand, a long beard, and long hair. He was very peculiar as he, not only, had fairy-like wings but elfish ears sticking out from the base of his hood as well. The dainty wings seemed to disintegrate right off of the wizard’s back with a quick flick of his wand. But the wings and the pointy ears weren’t the only things that were odd about the wizard. Instead of having a stern face, this wizard had a twinkle in his eye and a playful, almost childlike smile. Thrusting his hand to my face, he said, “I am, Aetos. Great wizard of the eastern village of Zarcanzia.” “Hello, how do you do?” I stammered with a tinge of suspicion.
