Yep, I lied haha- currency isn't going to come after the RP sign-ups drop, it's coming now! All info here in the instructions- read it all please, there will be a lot of info on this system! So- there are two different currencies! One OORP (out of roleplay), and one IRP (in roleplay). Each have different uses and ways of obtainment- they will all be found below! The OORP currency is called tokens! They're used for buying things relating to character creation for future characters- such as certain roles, mutations, and extra character slots! (shop is still a WIP) You can also trade in your tokens for coins (the IRP currency) to give to ALL of your characters- one token is worth 40 coins for each of your characters! Tokens are fairly difficult to obtain, though- the only way you can obtain them is by being an admin (you'll get paid two tokens per month), as compensation for second/third in competitions, or by winning token giveaways. Or- if I feel like giving you a token for no reason, then you'll get one, haha. You CANNOT transfer your tokens to another person in the community- you can only use them to redeem things for yourself! The IRP currency is called coins, as a lot of you may know from reading the kingdom guides. Instead of one account owning a specific amount, each of your characters will have a certain amount of coins- when you sign them up, I will determine how many coins your character will start with based on their role, rank, kingdom, and occupation. After that, your character may win coins from participating in events, or by selling something IRP to another person's character. Yes, you can sell things- it doesn't matter whether your character is a merchant or not! Just keep the things you sell reasonable- if your character is in Uxiria's working class, then don't make them sell rare jewels. If your character doesn't know any being with control over magic/don't have control over magic themselves, don't make them sell enchanted objects. You CANNOT transfer all of your coins from one character to your other character without doing a self-RP where that happens, and asking me to transfer the coins. Additionally, keep in mind that Ovarnthians do not use coins, instead they trade resources, so I will not be letting your Ovarnthian obtain coins. (even if they do, the coin will be more of a pretty trinket to them instead of money lol). Ehystye's views towards coins are slightly different- go check the Ehystye kingdom guide for more info! Items like cloaks, 3 meals a day and knives- basic ones- will cost around 4 coins, then fancier things (such as swords, fashion clothes, art) will cost around 15-20 coins. Jewelry, enchanted items, magic services, or housing can cost around 50 coins. Keep these prices in mind when selling! And after buying an item from another person in the RP, send in the transfer form here- the form is at the bottom, scroll down a bit to find it! (ignore the absolutely lame currency names- I am terrible at coming up with currency names haha :'D) And yes, there is a bank! It's in a private google doc- all your slot info, roles, currency, and other unused things will be recorded there! If you want to know what you have, then just ask me! And regarding character OTAs or adopts that have the option where you can use currency to buy the character- you can use either coins, tokens, or a mix of both to offer! If you use coins then lmk which character you're taking the coins from! Then, where it says "thread?" in the form, just say it's for an adopt and link said adopt! For tokens, just ask me to transfer the tokens via the form (below coin transfers) then you're good! I am well aware that this form may take you a while to fill out, but it's for safety reasons, as I myself have seen people abusing online currency systems, and I don't want that happening in my roleplay! idea by !
