I used Scratch cat as it would be very hard for me to do a totally new sprite & rename it. I drew my inspiration from late night shows, like, last week tonight with John Oliver, & The Daily Show. TRANSCRIPT: World, world, World! It has been a busy few centuries, it's been odd, I mean we only almost ended it a few times now, but don’t worry, it surely won’t happen again, (pause) we also have ‘almost’ perfected CGI (picture of minecraft movie) hey don’t get angry I mean you can’t expect too much from a blocky world far far away. Anyways moving on in the recent months & days villiger stocks, err, stocks have really accelerated downward mostly in that people's money in stocks have dropped significantly over the past days, punching at those who have put money into the stocks, especially thoughts that have invested in stocks to retire like 401K. This leads us to a major situation that has been important & haunted Americans for over 100 years & that is SES or Socioeconomic status which has to say the least been somewhat of a problem for us especially in recent history. Across the media there are clear signs of disbalance in Socioeconomic status though first we must understand socioeconomic status first to know this imbalance in our society. Socioeconomic status is essentially the place anyone has in society & usually based on MONEY being the main one, though, this factor is so used because it is based on other factors like Income or Education which influence each other playing a crucial role in which decide where a person is in life like Rich, poor or middle class. Now you may ask why this is such a problem in our society we have to look at charts like this. (shows estimated pie chart of SES in 1750) If this chart looks wrong that's because it is an estimation of what it was all the way back in 1750! For reference, that is when the Industrial revolution started, Brazil got a size up, & America was the 13 colonies not to mention cars didn’t exist & if they did you had to crank the front & cross your fingers not get run over. (slight pause) So you may ask well as history goes along it gets better, Right? Well the answer is a sad no, if you look at an estimation of the income shared it is grim with just the top holding WAY too much, it also kind of looks like a butterfly flapping its wings above an entire country is heading for collapse am I right? (pause lasting so long it is humors) (while switching between 1750 & 2020) Now you may be wondering don't I, or that 90% need to work harder, well the answer is a likely no despite being quite a popular term poor people need to work harder, I am sure our audience can agree along with managing to get tickets to our show… (switches to background that has one person on a streaming website) SEE… Moving on, err, back, to our topic the popular term poor people need to work harder is simply wrong as these people who “need to work harder” already work AS hard or even MORE hard than anyone anywhere else in the social hierarchy of socioeconomic status.
TRANSCRIPT Continued: This is as they usually don’t have the money to get any houses in popular areas where there are good cheap supermarkets or easy transportation, rather they are essentially forced to live in areas that have Deli’s that are expensive & far away from any major, well, anything. You may then say they just need to work harder on their job, well the outstanding answer is they CAN’T this can be for a multitude of reasons of reasons, most prominently though it is do to that they can not get their for early hours & also they can’t because they don’t have the education required to join these jobs. Or there are rules forcing them to make less indirectly as they don’t have the generational income for a higher education & have to drop out of school to make money for their family. Clearly the poor people that “need to work harder” already work hard enough. So in reality the super rich are the ones who need to work harder to allow the majority of the people left out be able to survive & get basic necessities that the Rich have a person do for them while the poor have to do & with double the problems from where to live to where to buy it is a everyday struggle for them. This is accelerated because of the problems with money, if they get so much as accused of a crime they are almost forced to go to jail. This is for many reasons though two main ones are Lawyers & Bias that let the poor get jailed horrendously & brutally while the rich get just a light reminder if any. Let's start with the first reason, Lawyers. Lawyers are people who defend someone accused of a crime & some are better than others, don’t judge. Though that is why it is so fractured, the fact that the rich can afford better lawyers then the poor makes it so the poor get the worst side of it as they can only afford curtain lawyers or none at all which makes it to say the least difficult to win. Now the second reason, BIAS. Bias is when one side leans toward another kinda like the tower of Pisa leans towards falling over standing upright, or like your uncle trying to do that 1980’s download music video. The reason there is a bias though goes deep into America's history all the way back, to who is where in the socioeconomic status, & the overwhelming answer is people of African descent or those from other countries like Hespanic, Japanese, Chinese, Middle eastern, just to name a few. These people in these groups are usually thought worse than others in an unconscious bias ingrained in them often from their childhood experiences. This causes a tremendous amount of difference in the courts & can cause the difference in whether a person goes to jail & lives forever in poverty or has a slight chance in getting out even with these odds against them. Now you probably have one question left now, well two if you include what is your uncle doing with that 80’s thing, not well. Though the other question, how to fix it, is what can you do & there is a multitude of answers, but not a lot of ones that actually work, so let's go over the ones that work. There are three simple things to do, those are, donations if you are in the place where you can give to others, Protests against the Government or different companies that downplay employees or people they serve, & finally spread awareness of this inequality that plagues our nation.
