Alrighty this is just gonna be some thoughts i have ant diff things and it might js turn into a rant or yeah, im just throwing stuff out there so expect some weird sentences. There gonna be alot here. Read ut if your mega bored or just skim it idk Contents: Popularity in scratch and Furries, "Pop" designer/artists, Followers n Comparison. Popularity: (2 parts - Furries and Scratch/General) Woohoo, you reached a certain milestone where you get a good average of veiws and loves and etc! But, with popularity, comes supporters and..haters. As a person of many, where animals/warriors/more are their main content, there will be people who call you a. Furry. Furries: Furries are so misidentified that by some peoples comments, A literal real cat is a furry by their own statement. Ive searched up on the internet "furry explained" and look at the project and here: The furry fandom is a subculture interested in anthropomorphic animal characters. Some examples of anthropomorphic attributes include exhibiting human intelligence and facial expressions, speaking, walking on two legs, and wearing clothes. And the screenshot above: Furries dont identify as animals. Being a furry is essentially cosplaying and ACTING like your character. Huh.. acting just like your favourite actors in films and movies.. Its a hobby, just like fotball and so many more hobbies, and now some people use it as an insult. "I just dont like it", Okay? Why should someone stop doing what they love to do jsut becuase you dont? And yes, some stuff is bad in the fandom, but doesnt iterally any fandom have a bad side?? And 1 bad furry/person, doesnt represent the ENTIRE Community. These points goes across basically anything in this world. Scratch/General Popularity: Continuing from the top, yeah being popular could be very fun! You have many people that like the same stuff as you, and your work get recognised! But if you get a hate comment, why should you listen? Why should they have the power to make your day worse and make you feel worse about yourself? And dont go on a rampage and bring more hate to that comment, but report it instead. Most of the time, Dont reply, show that their comment is absolute useless and trash to you. Sometimes id just "AW TYSMM, that really helped me turn into a professional table and chair <3333 !!!!" ;_; Yeah, id confuse them with a sarcastic reply but if the reply back imma just delete the comment chain to make it not continue. Do you really have to be that miserable to go out of YOUR day to make someone elses worse?? If you dont like something, then IGNORE IT. WHY MASS REPORT, SEND HATE??? ISTG i hope your little projects can get taken down. Okay, thqt might seem mean, but, Its annoying and i just want you "massreporters" to get a taste of your own actions. Ive experienced this, and I guess now that i moved accs, i got the people who likes what i like and projects. The randos are at my old one and its fine, Sure i lost alot of followers, bit id rather gain them again w people who enjoys my stuff(mayje idk-) then some people who just never comes by my account and basically is a ghost follower. (My new term lol, A follower who just followes, w/o knowing anything abt the person their following or their content) So kids, being popular is fun, only if you know how to handle the bad sides. :::::::::::: Pop designer/"Pop" artists: I actually dont know what "pop" means in this context but out of wjat i think, basically - oh wait I think its shortened of Pop-ular. Oh- Well, This is mostly my feelings or yeah welp. I am not a pop-artist/designer. Ive made designs which yeah not many people want, and im not a person on "Offering fir designs from [insert pop-designers]" Yeah their designs are RLLY GOOD! But sometimes it feels like yall just want a design from a popular person and your probs are not using it- like you're just offering just bcuz you want to own it. I must admit, i was guilty of this when I just started scratch, BUT I never managed to get one lmao, BUUT i do have 2 now that will be used in EnA. See? They got a purpose now, and I hope i made the designers happy, since I would feel really happy if I saw my designs used in a comic or something! I have stopped offering for characters and now im trying to make them all lore and making worlds. heh Uhm yeah, I stopped making designs just of the "pop" culture. It feels like that if you arent deemed a "pop" person, youre not good and your stuff is just ignored :/ Well, its not my place to talk about this. Followers and comparison: I must admit i have felt these things when i started and im trying it not to affect me now . "See that person with more followers than you and they just joined [insert number] months after you? Ha, your stuff sucks, theyre stuff is way better, so no wonder they got followers faster than you!!!!" Yeah this is what i thought. I felt sad and i didnt want to really continue anymore. (+)
