BURN (Prequel to Stay Alive) — a NIGHTCLOUD m.a.p. — NOTE: no need to ask to make a TNE! the events of this map precede those portrays in Stay Alive and encapsulate the hurt and betrayal nightcloud experienced upon learning the news of crowfeather and leafpool’s affair which resulted in the birth of the three. this m.a.p. serves as a semi-AU, wherein nightcloud genuinely loved crowfeather and they had good moments at the prime of their relationship. — GUIDELINES A. i am seeking semi-experienced artists and animators on this project, ideally those with some familiarity to map projects and warrior cats. (animation experience is not required!) B. part distribution will not take place on a first-come-first-serve basis. i will wait some time before i sort through applications and distribute parts. C. this map has a three month deadline PER PART; meaning, if you have two parts, you will have six months to complete both of them. D. extensions to parts will be provided on a case-by-case basis. in general, if you have a w.i.p. provided to me before asking for an extension, you are almost certain to receive one. E. within your part, please only use up to TWO SPRITES and ONE backdrop (but no backdrop is preferred). please do NOT use variables; instead, use message broadcasts with SPECIFIC, ORIGINAL broadcast names — broadcast names like "part1crowslide" are perfectly fine, broadcast names like "message1" or "part1" are NOT. F. please refer to ALL character references inside the project! characters not included in the references that you want to include in your part can be your own designs. G. i have included references for certain SETTINGS and SCENE TYPES in the script. you must follow the setting references, but specific scene references (i.e. the reference of Nightcloud’s eye reflection) are there only for your convenience and can be disregarded if you have another idea for how to portray them. H. shading/lighting is only required in scenes which are PMV. AMV/tweened parts are not required to include shading. I. it is recommended that you read the entire script and view all references included before you begin your part! This will help the flow of the entire map :) J. animation is not required for any part of this map. however, partial movement is recommended for non-memory sequences, but not required K. collabs are allowed - i must approve your collab partner beforehand if you decide to collab with somebody. if you need a collab midway through your due date, a backup will be assigned to your part unless you inquire with me about a chosen collab partner. L. absolutely no AI, traced, or heavily referenced artwork is tolerated in this M.A.P. if i discover that your part or thumbnail entry uses traced, AI, or heavily referenced art you may be subject to getting kicked.
