・┆✦ʚ BASICS ɞ✦ ┆・ I honestly had so much fun with this! I really love drawing slightly creepy characters, and this one was certainly a blast to do. I did alter the colors a little bit so the fur would stand out a bit more, as well as the eyes. But I honestly think it's worth it. :3 ・┆✦ʚ CHARACTER BACKSTORY ɞ✦ ┆・ Silver was just a regular cat, who lived a pretty normal life as a wild cat. He enjoyed the simplicity of his life. He may not have had the same comfort as most, but he was satisfied and that's what mattered. One night as he was wandering around, he happened to see an odd faint orange light. Being curious, he decided to go and see what it was. He saw a bunch of cats, wearing cloaks that looked like butterfly wings - singing some sort of weird chant. One happened to see him, and before he had a chance to react, he was dragged back. Being tied down in the middle of a pentagram. They began to chant once more, saying that their god - a butterfly, would be the start of a new life. As butterflies are often representatives of new beginnings, they believed that they'd be reborn into greater beings. Silver was the sacrifice. But instead, Silver began to turn into something else. Eyes began to sprout across his body, and his tail fell apart. First the fur, the flesh, then the bones. Silver had never felt so much pain before. Eventually, the pain stopped. But he was no longer a normal cat. The cult was horrified. How could a sacrifice be reborn as a greater being but not them?! One tried to take Silver out, but he acted out. Soon enough, the cult didn't have a single member breathing. Silver, horrified but his own appearance and what he'd done - hid away. Hiding in a deep cave, where cocoons both filled and empty hang from the walls and ceiling. His old life being dead, he changed his name to Viceroy, which is a species of butterfly. Some still say you can hear faint sobbing and wails of distress of sadness from the cave... ・┆✦ʚ CREDITS ɞ✦ ┆・ Design: @DevilTheGhostbuster Art/Coding: @NovaNightDrifter (me <3) Background: Google Song: A Jester's Cry
