In Laurie's downtime she is often found staring intently at rain dripping slowly down a leaf, Bee's pollenating flowers or a troop of ants carrying broken pieces of bark. Laurie often takes the silliest comments to heart, If someone says that she's ugly, she'll reflect on that. Laurie always tries to meet other felines standards and expectations feeling that if they approve of her, she'll feel perfect. Her self-consciousness also ties with her need for perfection.. Laurie doesn't share this with anyone and doubts herself in silence, not letting anyone know what she is going through. Even though her heart is often closed to others, their snide little comments sometimes break through her barrier and makes her doubt if she has what it takes to be a warrior. Her mind also taunts her and asks herself things like: Why am I not pretty enough? Am I actually fit for a Warrior and If I'm not, I can't be fit for a Medicine Cat, So what is my actual worth? Guarded ꒱ Laurie is often guarded to those that aren’t closest to her. She seems rather distant and shy when you first meet her because she hates showing her emotions to strangers, thinking that if she did that would be showing vulnerability and it would be a serious backlash if they used those emotions against her. When Laurie does seem to get emotional around someone that she doesn’t really know, she becomes distant and her fright flashes in her eyes before she stops talking about that subject. Not many felines notice this but her littermates and adoptive mother do, they often ask if she is okay when this happens and she usually responds with a nod. There is a barrier around her heart, waiting for someone to break through it one day, could you be the one? Or could you be just another stranger in her eyes?
Perfectionist ꒱ No matter how little pressure that is laid onto you, you can add onto it yourself… Laurie pressures herself to be perfect, as perfect a Greek nymph or dryad. She wants to get everything right, to her good isn’t enough. She doesn’t make her thirst for perfection obvious to other felines due to the fact that it would be annoying for her to pester them on and on about it. She strives to be perfect, she doesn’t want flaws or mistakes. She feels like smiling and being easy to get along with is perfect while feeling sadness and anger is frowned upon. Laurie mostly strives to be beyond expectations in Greek and poetry, which she enjoys to learn.
