It's my first time doing one of these (I'm procrastinating!!) Deleted some questions where my answer wasn't interesting/just one word. Hey! Here are 30 art questions for fun! Just remix and answer! 1Q: Who / what inspired you to become an artist? 1A: When I was a child, I loved reading, and wanted to write my own book :'> I started learning to draw so that I could make my margins more interesting. Also I got bored in class very often and doodled to pass the time. 3Q: What is your favorite medium? (digital, paper, paint, etc.) 3A: I really like digital art for all the colours and stuff that I'm able to use :D I also like to doodle with my rotring 500 in my sketchbook, and I go through a sketchbook/6 weeks! 4Q: What was your favorite cartoon as a child (or now) and how does / did it effect or inspire your art 4A: Hmm I liked Pokemon (Indigo League, XY/Z, SM) and My Little Pony (g4) but I didn't watch cartoons all that much really. I do admire the Pokemon/MLP artstyles & character design tho :D 5Q: What is your favorite posted art piece? link it! 5A: hm my most recent art because I like the direction it's going. no specific art piece tho because I don't do very deep art and don't have a magnum opus xD https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1151258447/ 7Q: What’s the best piece of advice you have for baby artists? 7A: I...feel like a baby artist LOL. But I'd tell baby-me: don't be afraid to PAINT! you have a decent grasp on colour theory. Don't stress about lineart so much. TRY NEW STYLES! And really don't stress about maintaining any current style--that's simply going to restrict your growth. Practice your anatomy more. use references. don't let views/likes/favs discourage you from making art. Practice perspective also! And overall the fundamentals. Don't take on too many commissions/requests at a time. Don't be afraid to ask for art trades. STOP SEEKING VALIDATION IN THE FORM OF LIKES!! <- that was personal 9Q: How long have you been an artist? 9A: I've been making art since I could (poorly) hold a crayon! But what defines an artist? Hmmmmm. I started doing digital art a few months/a year after COVID began (4 YEARS WHAT) 10Q: If your a digital artist, what software do you do art on? 10A: Krita! free and good. 12Q: What other social media platforms do you post on? 12A: with varying activity levels! tumblr, da, th?(I upload images), redd (mostly for wc/splatoon fanart) 13Q: Are you better on paper or digital? 13A: GOOD QUESTION. I feel like a large part of my typical art/style gets defined by its colours, which I do digitally. at the same time, I often feel my paper sketches are more creative, or have more, Idk, heart? put into them? Less busts-with-serious-faces, more experimentation. I feel I have more creative liberty in my sketchbook I think? IDK 15Q: What can you draw best? (Humans, animals, bugs etc.) 15A: probably cats, but even with cats, I still have so much to improve :D 16Q: Are you good at drawing backgrounds? 16A: UM no. working on it! again I feel my composition stuff's all better on paper 17Q: Are you good at animating 17A: I used to do plenty of animation! haven't done it in months tho. not very good, I don't have patience 18Q: Do you listen to music while you create? If so, what are your go-to songs or artists? 18A: usually nope, sometimes the side order soundtrack (souvenir <3) 19: How do you handle mistakes in your art? 19A: paint over it/"it's not a bug it's a feature"/too lazy to change it, just leave it be 20Q: If you could use only five supplies (traditional) for the rest of your life, what would they be? 20A: rotring 500, funny animal-shaped eraser, sketchbook, wow I'm having trouble naming 5 maybe some highlighter or something? most of the time I just do pencil+paper 21Q: How often do you draw? 21A: I doodle in my sketchbook every day! Digitally it depends on how much homework I have. And usually when I start drawing on my computer I draw a bunch of stuff? So idk once a week when averaged out maybe. 22Q: How would you describe your style? 22A: HMMMMMMMM good question. It's really shifting at the moment. It's colourful I guess? people have described it as sorta "impressionistic"? no more neat lineart!! cartoon style? painterly style?? 24Q: Have you ever painted? Were you good at it? 24A: Yes I've painted! click to see. acrylic yay! was done last year for school art class. Kinda goofy but it was fun. I gotta improve at it lol
25Q: If you had to create a piece of art using only one color, which one would you choose? 25A: purple 26Q: Are you able to do realism? 26A: no :( need to learn that someday 27Q: What is the most challenging part of being an artist? 27A: IDK haha that's a really deep question. Procrastination? social media? Intermediate slump? I could maybe rant about this but I don't feel like it. 28Q: (if you can draw animals) Whats is your favorite to draw? And what is an animal that is impossible to draw? 28A: idk I don't pick favourites probably cats because I'm most used to drawing them? and I want to learn to draw birbs better but why are they so difficult :'> 29Q: How many characters do you have? 29A: too many eeee 30Q: At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your art? 30A: Man that's so deep .O. recently I've been asking myself-what do I draw for? and truthfully I don't know. I don't draw out of grief, or reverence, or some sort of grand vision. I don't usually project any emotions into my art, I just draw fun cats because yes. I don't think that's a big issue most of the time but maybe I should draw deeper stuff? idk. Hopefully if someone looks at my fanart of stuff or something their eyes feel fed.
