My story....... Dear Diary, Kelly here again! I cannot believe how much has happened already and its only lunch. I best get on with this! We start from last night, at the dinner table… “Kelly, come down for dinner!” my mum called down the stairs, “Coming mum” I quickly replied. When I sat down and started to eat, a thought popped into my head, “Mum, Dad, I’ve been meaning to ask you...” “What is it darling?” “Well ummm, why are humans so bad?” And yes dear diary, the reason I brought this up is because Amnity had made me wonder this again. My mum started to laugh at me and my dad gave me a pitying smile. Finally my mum broke the silence, “Honestly, what do they teach you at school these days?” I cannot explain, dear diary, how much this frustrated me! “But why?” I quickly questioned, trying not to sound as exasperated as I felt. “They are lesser and weaker than us. They are unworthy.” I can hardly remember what happened next, but to sum it up in 3 words: I saw red. I flew into a long speech, “But how is that fair? Why should we fight against them if true to your word they are weaker than us? It’s dishonourable!” My mum interrupted in a warning tone, “Kelly please do not discuss this at the dinner table.” “But why not? Why not tell you and all the zaubers who called war on humans are being?” “Kelly go to your room!” My mum shouted surprisingly loudly. After 5 seconds of silence I added, “But..” “No buts Kelly! You just pushed me too far.” She quickly said. “Go to your room” So I stormed off to my room. “Why was I sent to bed?” I wondered to myself, lying on my bed. Surely Amnity is not weak! Sometimes the stupid feud between humans and zaubers really annoyed me. After about 10 minutes I started to feel really tired. Knowing that tomorrow my mum and possibly dad would question me about my outburst and probably punish me. However 5 minutes later I was asleep. The next morning I was awoken to the familiar sound of my dad yelling to get me out of bed. “Wake up Kelly! You’ve got lessons in 45 minutes!” By the time I was out of bed, dressed and adding the milk to my cereal, the interrogation began. “Kelly dear, why did you bring up humans last night? You haven’t been meeting up with any recently, have you?” As my mum started this query I was worried that somehow, they had found out about Amnity “What? No. Definitely not!” I hastily replied. “You sure?” she asked me. “Yes, definitely, absolutely even!” She looked a bit unsure after my not al that tactful retorts. “OK?” she replied. Luckily my dad saved me from awkward conversation by yelling down the stairs “You ready for school yet Kelly?” “Yeah dad!” I replied, relieved at this distraction. When we arrived at school my teacher, Miss Goodyear, told everyone to come to her. “Round up everyone!,” She called, “Today we’re practicing defensive spells.” Several cheers went up from the boys corner but were quickly stunted with a glare from me. I really don’t like so called “Defensive” spells. They’re just used for harming humans. I much prefer healing spells. We did some stunning for majority of the lesson then had a talk on rouges. In case you did not know dear diary, rouges are zaubers who turned evil. They split from the tribe and are extremely dangerous. Finally we were dismissed. But just as I was about to leave the classroom I heard something. A crying girl. I ran towards the sound and was shocked to see Amnity, sitting under a table, tears streaming down her face. When she spotted me she gave me a weak smile and burst into another round of sobs. I ran over, or at least started to, when I spotted a zauber. Of course I signalled to Amnity to stay hidden, but as I looked something seemed odd. Something about him. He didn’t look like anyone I’d ever seen before, or at least in the flesh. The second he looked round it clicked. He was a rouge. Yes I was lucky enough to be in the same room as a rouge. With no adults. Yay for me! The rouge took a shot at Amnity but luckily I used a shield charm. As I shot a stun towards the rouge, he mirrored my action. Except towards me instead. I cant remember what happened after that but the nurses have filled me in. As you have probably gathered, the rouges spell hit its target but luckily, mine did too. As I was stunned Amnity had a choice. She could call for an adult to deal with the rouge, but then my condition could get worse. As she was trained in medicine, she could heal me. But the rouge could wake up. Also if someone stumbled across us and saw Amnity saving me, the zaubers and humans could fight. She ran outside and yelled for help. She then looked after me. I was quickly rushed to hospital. I am fine now, dear diary. I haven’t seen Amnity yet but apparently she will see me soon. Wait that’s her now! Maybe she could tell me why she was crying! Bye for now! Kelly
