music by ok go - Once More With Feeling art by me :) space to see most of it ︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵ Q1: What's your favourite genre/genres? A: I'm a sucker for magical realism, real-science sci-fi, and YA contemporary. Q2: Have you ever finished writing a story? A: Yes...? i mean like ofc Q3: First person POV, second person POV, or third person POV? A: while 2p can be cool stylistically, it gets a bit weird at times (especially with romances). I love 1p. Q4: Do you have a favourite author? If so, who? A: John Green (yes I'm one of *those* ) Q5: Do you want to be a writer when you're older? A: As a side hustle. I'm busy doing pilot certifications rn and will have a LOT of free time when I'm actually in the business. Q6: Do you have any advice for writers? If so, what is it? A: Think about character names more. Try and stay away from bland cliche ones (any spelling of alex. 'moon' or 'luna'. any tmbl s-man-esque names.) and don't go for "quirky" ones either (they can distract from the characters). There's a middle ground. Another pet peeve of mine is when people name characters after objects (I've seen SOOO many 'leaf's and 'wi-fi's and 'glitch'es) because of the same reason. Q7: When it comes to writing, are you a perfectionist? A: I wish I wasn't. Q8: Have you shared a story on scratch before? A: Nope. I prefer writing competitions and publishers. Q9: What's your favourite plot structure? (7 point plot structure, hero's journey plot structure, etc) A: Obsessed with hero's journey. Q10: What's your inspiration? A: Damian Kulash's literal POETRY he writes as ok go lyrics (ATAP IS HERE YAYAYAYYYYYAY) and my mdd too I guess Q11: Do you like making graphic novels/comics? A: Had a phase like that in fourth grade like everyone else haha. Not anymore, though I do like to make fake animatic screenshots and single-panels. Q12: Poetry, or story writing? A: Both. I'm working on my lyrical memoir right now. Q13: Fiction or non-fiction? A: Fiction, but I love to read non-fiction written in novel(la) format. Q14: What's your favourite book/series? A: This is a difficult one. I have an unbreakable love for The Martian, but I still have a strong attachment to my first-grade favorite (I know I know) The Land Of Stories by Chris Colfer and have an entire bookshelf devoted to it. Q15: Do you believe in writers block? A: Believe in?? I live it everyday. Q16: What about reader's block? A: You're real for this question, specifically, . Q17: Do you like putting references in your stories? (references to other books, a movie, songs, etc) A: Read between the lines and discover ok go lyrics galore. Otherwise, I mainly shoot for allusions. Q18: Do you like writing chapter books? A: Yep. Q19: Realistic fiction or unrealistic fiction? A: realistic or semirealistic, both my jam. Q20: Have you ever written a character based on someone in real life? A: Haha, funny you should ask about this now. I just wrote an entire superhero based off of my friend who wore six pairs of safety glasses at a robotics competition. Q21: Do you give MBTI personality types to your characters? A: rarely. Q22: Writing in a notebook or writing on google docs? A: Gdocs frfr Q23: What do you think is the best thing for someone to do when they get writers block? A: Journal. Q24: When did you realize you wanted to be a writer? A: I didn't. Q25: Do you have a lot of OCs? A: I have an entire paracosm. Q26: Do you have a lot of stories you are writing? A: Yep. Q27: What's the most difficult part of planning a story? A: Planning is easy. It's the execution. Q28: Do you do journaling? A: As mentioned earlier, yes.

Q30: Do you find it hard to write the first chapter/ prologue? A: Easiest part. Q31: Have you drawn your characters before? A: Yes. Q32: Have you roleplayed with your characters before? A: ...yes haha Q33: Do you think you take way too long planning what to write instead of actually writing? A: I'm the exact opposite. Q34: What's your favourite part when editing? A: Nothing. Literally nothing. I hate editing. Q35: What's your least favourite part when editing? A: everything, but particularly gaining motivation to do it. Q36: How long have you been writing? A: I've been writing seriously for roughly seven years now Q37: Have you tried writing in a new way before? A: Yes. Q38: What, in your opinion, is the most fun theme to write about? (not genre. A theme is like war, coming of age, good vs evil, family, etc) A: Family for sure. I have a novel about a god who accidentally adopts a human daughter and now they've just got the cutest relationship omg Q39: Have you written characters with sad backstories? A: Yes, but I like to go easy on them. "Rejected, parents gone, abandoned, hated child" is a huuuuge pet peeve for me. A good example is the above one, where the god is actually on his second incarnation, in his first one, he was a tyrannical, mrdrous dictator who actually, get this, klled that universe's version of the girl who would be his daughter in the second incarnation. Q40: Have you ever written yourself in a story? A: No, but I think minor author cameos are fine. Q41: Do you usually unintentionally make a side character more interesting than a main character? A: I feel so called out rn. Q42: Have you ever written a character as something other than a human? A: Technically. Not anything not anthropomorphic, human-like or sapient, though. Q43: Have you ever written the main character as the villain before? A: Technically. (see question 39) Q44: What's your favourite things to put in stories? (things you personally find entertaining to read/write) A: Cute relationship dynamics and character interactions. Q45: Have you written romance before? A: Yes. Q46: Do you put life lessons in your stories? A: Yes, lessons are the point of art. Q47: What's your favourite character from a book? A: Don't judge but I may or may not have 'adopted' alexander hale from the spy school series (another childhood favorite) because of the way the author did him dirty Q48: Writing or drawing? A: Writing, tbh. Q49: Writing or reading? A: Writing. Q50: Have you written a main character as the complete opposite of you before? A: Yes. This is something that I believe every author should try. ︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶
