A member of ShadowClan, he had only one cat who could tolerate him: Silent-paw, the best apprentice hunter. One day, they were hunting alone—a violation of the rules—and discovered a hole covered in "vines" that intrigued Polar-paw. Despite Silent-paw's warning to avoid it, he took it as a challenge and clumsily ventured into the hole. Silent-paw watched in annoyance until she jumped and yowled as the "vines" wrapped around Polar-paw and dragged him deeper into the ground, into an underground hollow. The vines ripped his paws off and crawled under his eyes, effectively popping them out only to cover the empty sockets with more "vines" and hanging him from his waist to the cave ceiling. eventually he di3d of bl00d loss
