Him and his mate Orchid had just gotten their kits when Riverclan was attacked. Dappleshine needed to help his Clan so he started to defend. With all of his efforts he managed to make some Shadowclan warriors run away, injured. Thinking he had won he wasn't paying attention and a Shadowclan cat pounced on him, he was killed.
