Srry about the written chapter, I'm just really drained. Second half of chapter is down, just scroll a bit. All chapters are in the official studio! (Continued) He rolled on the ground a bit, pawing a piece of moss. "I'll see if I can track dad down to help him." I chuckled a bit to myself, "What?" Oakshine asked, "I was just thinking, maybe we should hide *him* in the nursery too!" I said. Oakshine got onto his feet suddenly, "Hey... that's actually a good idea!" I laughed, "A grown tom, staying in the nursery?" Oakshine nodded, "Duskstar would never suspect a thing! It's silly, but that's the great part! It's unexpected enough that Duskstar would never think to look there!" Dawn tilted her head to the side, "Alright then, tell him the plan tonight. Bring him here at dawn." END OF CHAPTER Oh, and just a heads up, I'll probably be doing this for a little while, that way you can get chapters without this being draining for me.
I made my way slowly into camp. My fur was still damp from my dip in the lake. I was so glad to be home after this whole thing. I had to walk back from all the way of the other side of the lake, my stomach was growling, begging for a meal. I stepped into the clearing, and everyone looks like they're seeing a StarClan cat back from the dead... I suddenly get a bad feeling that I maybe shouldn't have come back... Duskstrike walks up to me, her eyes concealed by the shadow cast by her hair floof, but I knew something was up. "You aren't welcome here..." She hissed quietly. Her voice was cold and sent a chill through me... this was my daughter... what had happened her since I left? "But, uh, I'm the leader... I live here." I said, confused. Cats started crowding around us, and one pink and cream colored one walked to Duskstrike's side, "Duskstar, shall I have some cats chase him out?" The she-cat asked eagerly. I tilted my head to the side, 'Duskstar'? Then it hit me. She meant for this to happen. She was leader now... "No. I'm sure this Dark Forest spirit possessing him is sensible enough to leave alone." She responded quietly. I could feel her glaring at me. She told them I was possessed... so they'd all attack me if I fought back... this was a battle I knew I couldn't win. So I backed up slowly, making my way out of camp. Oakshine looked at me, then to Duskstr- Duskstar, as if he knew that Duskstrike was chasing me out for her own gain. I then ran out, I needed to make a plan, but I couldn't do that in ThunderClan territory. I was a wanted cat now. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I think something is up. Dad seems the same as usual. And he doesn't have the Dark Forest weird eyes. He can't be possessed. Duskstar knows this... which means Dawnheart also has to know about this... because she would know that Duskstar didn't get her nine lives because the Beestar is still alive... But why would Dawn allow this to happen? I felt a burning anger in my chest... Duskstar probably planned this all out!!! She's just wanting to $3 her power and get what she wants. She probably k!led mom then too. I need to talk to Dawn and get an explanation for all of this. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I was sorting herbs, planning out my day when Oakshine stormed in. "Dad came back." I froze and looked up at Oakshine. "Duskstar looked about ready to k!ll him. He's not possessed Dawn. I'm not that stupid." I sighed, "I'm sorry. I couldn't do anything to stop Duskstar from assuming her current position. She threatened me. There's nothing I can do Oak." Oakshine sat down next to me, "But at least tell me when there's something that means life or death to someone in our family. I wouldn't have told anyone, I'm not a snitch." I nodded slightly, "Alright..." Oakshine sighed, "You and I both know that Duskstar is evil at this point. We need to stop her. She's going too far." "I know! But there's nothing we can do! She's k!lled enough cats!!! And I don't want to be her next victim!!!" I burst out, annoyed. Oakshine looked at me in surprise, then his face softened, "Are you ok...?" he asked. "I'm fine. Just overwhelmed with these new responsibilities... now that I'm the only Med Cat..." I went silent. An image of Marigold, dead, flashed through my mind. Oakshine layed down, "It's about Marigold, isn't it?" I nodded slightly. Oakshine wrapped his tail around me in a hug. "I know that you're scared that Duskstar might hurt another cat that you're close to... but... at least we can watch each other's backs. If we work together, maybe no-cat will have to d!e." He stopped for a moment, then went on, "...If we don't do anything, then cats *will* d!e. That's something I'm sure of. We have to at least try, don't we?" I sighed and looked down, "I guess..." We were both quiet for a while, then Oakshine spoke again, "Remember when we were all kits? Duskstar would always claim the leader role when we played Clans with the other kits..." Oakshine stretched and sat up, "...We were so close then... I never thought that any of this would've happened..." I felt myself tearing up. Oakshine saw and hugged me a bit tighter, "It's alright. It's just me here. You can cry if you need to." I tried holding it back for another second, then started sobbing. Oakshine just sat there, not minding a bit. After a while I stopped, feeling a little better. I looked up at Oakshine, "Thanks..." then I headbutted him playfully, "And this, this is why you're my favorite brother!" Oakshine chuckled, "I'd be more flattered if I weren't your only brother! ... But thanks." he said smiling. He stretched and flipped onto his back, "I hate to change the subject this quickly, but how's Moon doing?" "She's doing alright. She's tired, but that's normal. She should be having her kits in about half a moon, give or take a few sunrises." I said, smiling a bit to myself at Oakshine's weird position. (Look at Instructions for more)
