“Room one!” A guard shouted. Eclipse was in room three out of six, which she had learned after being assigned her room. She had also learned to ‘stay quiet, keep hidden, dont take off the hood, and don't DONT argue with royalty. (Or anyone, really).’ “Room two!” Three cats, two of whom were the ones she had seen when she arrived hurriedly, lined up in a space and were assigned their tasks. “Room three!” Maple ran swiftly before Eclipse even got up. “Since you're new, his majesty will tell you what to do; go to the second floor.” When he said ‘his majesty,’ the two thought the king himself had come to instruct them. For that matter, they hadn’t seen him yet, but when they got to the second room, which had a spiral of the dry, smooth dirt that the whole place was made of, they found Prince Kieran waiting for them. “Your majesty,” they meowed respectfully and bowed deeply. “Rise,” he said in a ‘trying to be commanding’ tone. “I have taken my time to instruct your new servants and show you around.” His eyes flicked around. “Follow me.” He ordered and walked higher up into the third and highest room. “My fa- the king, and my brother live up here. Only royalty are you live on the third floor, you must not clean Prince Keadryns' room, he requests otherwise.” His tail was flicking nervously, causing his ring to clink violently. The ring was a thing of all royalty, and very high-ranked cats wore. It was made with Golden Euonymus or willow branches and was decked with certain gems according to different things. Lavender for royalty, dark blue for respect, light blue for being born in a high-ranked family, and blood red for power, and gold for all-powerful. Prince Kieran only had lavender and light blue in his ring. He turned to them, his green eyes were powerful. “You are to do what the king, Prince Keadryn, or I ask of you and do what work you are assigned to do.” He flinched but quickly regained himself. “Today you are to..” He was cut of by a hissing sound and then a growl, and then Prince Keadryn came bursting out of his room, his fur bristling. “THOSE MONSTERS STOLE MY GEMS!” He spat. Eclipse flinched. She knew exactly what he meant by monsters. “YOU!” He turned to face Eclipse and Maple. “Search my room for any signs of those awful creatures.” He growled and turned to his brother, ranting about something that Eclipse and Maple didn’t wait to hear.
