? This is a short story form a creative writing class ? -Hope you like! I work at Tom's Donuts, it's a small shop by the craft store in my small town of Caryville. It’s a good job and most of the time it's very peaceful. That's what everyone would think but it's not all cupcakes and rainbows. Apparently the owner built the palace over some wormhole thing? Anyway it allows aliens and creatures to walk though. So every night at 8:00 when we close they come in. I call it the after night shift, there's too many other workers but they never take it because they're scared one of the monsters would eat them. But they’re pretty chill and it's just extra money for me. Today I got the usual Billy, I don't really know where he's from but he's basically a slime that eats through everything he always gets the glazed donuts. Then I got Bobob…I don’t think that's how you say his name but he’s great. Always pays in Flunks aka alien money. But after him I got this new guy. He came up to the counter. He was a walking wallet. “Hey, there welcome to Tom's Donuts, what would you like..” It was the mandatory greeting. The wallet was titled and looked at the things in the case. Before pointing at a sprinkled donut. “Ching, ching, ching..” It sounded like a pocket of coins, I’m guessing he asked for three of them but I don’t know I just smiled and started packing the order up. I grabbed three sprinkles and put them in a paper bag before setting it down on the counter. “That will be $5.50…” I said, Ching nodded. I’m just going to call him that. And opened his wallet mouth and it popped exactly $5.50 on the counter. I just nodded and put it in the cash register. “Thank you, have a nice day..” I said and the guy walked off. It was strange but honestly this job was just strange. After that they were other customers. Blibod a particular kinda guy always wanted exactly 50 sprinkles on his donut it was annoying. Then a snail guy and some more usuals. After they all left I closed up shop. It was about 10:00 now.
