This was an insane round, you all did super well. I'm disappointed we have to eliminate some people.
White Clouds - @Ender-curse This song’s pretty fire. Your track is well produced, and sounds good, but certainly lacks in a few areas. First, it’s pretty hard to tell it’s a remix of the original classical piece. It just sounds more like something inspired by the piece rather than a remix of it. Secondly, it’s kinda repetitive and only seems to have two separate sections that within themselves don’t change or flow much, just kinda repeat what they have going on. In the future I recommend focusing on dynamic melodies, beats, and general song flow. Primavera - @LynExperiences I like the opening sound, it puts you right in the music, exciting you for what’s to come. As the music continues, the way you bring in extra instruments feels very nice. I think one of the things that’s going to give you more points is the fact that this classical piece is incredible. I love the motifs present in it. During a couple sections of the song, you have a very grindy sounding bass in the background that kinda distracts from the other instruments, and could have been improved. Overall though the way you use different instruments to represent different hands and sections and it sounds really pleasing. I recommend using a better DAW also, given Ableton live is superior to FL Studio. Entry of the Gladiators - @Calengamer255 I like this one lots. You chose a good piece, and the way you remixed it made it go a lot harder. Some of your samples seem pretty bad tho, though that’s not really your fault. I think a few things you could improve include changing more things, because it feels like you often just fit to the song rather than adding content of your own. You also could totally have added a bass drop and it would have sounded way more awesome. Again, the main problem in this track is simply fitting too tightly to the original. Good job tho. Danse Macabre - This step dubs. <---- Haha I’m so good at puns guys. Anyways, this thing is pretty good, though a bit short. What you did is good, but could use some expanding on. It is essentially two different sections of music that bounce off each other a couple times and then end. It would be cool if you could change the music as it went, and expand on how many sections there are within your remix of the original. Overall the production is decent, you could just afford to add more here. Alla turca - Insane fire heat packing banger. You do a great job starting slow and giving the sense that it’ll build later, then doing so. You do a solid job of having lots of changes happening throughout the piece. I think some production aspects, while classic of this type of music, decrease from the value. For example the way the building white noise is chopped could have been designed better, as the choppiness makes it harder to really enjoy the track while it distracts the ear. Anyways, this is really good. Nutcracker disco - This is probably the best thing you’ve done so far, most likely because your main weakness of melodic structure is covered by the song. I like how you use the drums to play the melody, and the instruments you use were creatively chosen, though a lot of them clash with each other. The mixing on this could definitely have been improved, some instruments are way too loud and others too quiet. I also recommend adding panning in the future. The last comment is that it ends abruptly and you didn’t seem to add anything to even try to transition it to a close. Next time try adding some kinda outro. I’m Sorry... - Dang that insane. Perfect job of building this, transitioning between songs, making it exciting and dramatic. The largest complaint I have is the lack of power. Add more bass and it’ll make the song feel way stronger. Other than that though you did what you were supposed to do. Perhaps make it so when you go back to a section of the piece you already did the instruments are changed or something else is changed. In general it would be good if more stuff changed more often. Light of the blood moon - This is good and sounds very powerful. I think it takes a little bit too long to start up though. When it gets into the drop, it’s quite strong. I recommend making the piece dynamically evolve more, changing aspects of texture rhythm pitch tempo or dynamics as you go to make it constantly feel fresh to the ear while still retaining enough of the sound to not sound like chaos. I know you’re capable of finding the sweet spot given the bangers you’ve displayed so far.
