i'm going to preface this with the fact that not everyone is the problem here, and i am also going to admit that i'm not entirely clean of rule-breaking in my time on gwdfi. however, this is an increasing problem and i want to put my two cents in, even if i'm not a manager, as others are doing so, too. it's not the end of the world if you accidentally break a rule, i do understand that. the issue is when you continuously do so, especially after being told that you're breaking them. like others have said, this is a team effort; the rules are not going to follow themselves. the curators need to start cooperating better with the managers if we want to keep having a gwdfi. quite frankly, this has been an issue for a while, but it's worse now and i'm glad to help bring that to light. the rules aren't that difficult to follow. like glass said, if there really are confusing things or loopholes you see in them, just bring that up. talk to a manager about it. don't break the rules because you don't understand them or use loopholes in them to your "advantage". that's part of cooperating with the managers. they can't solely figure out every problem and fix it on their own. they will need curator help sometimes, and that's not a bad thing. we all need to remember that the managers are not omnipotent gods–they're a group of less than 20 teenagers who have lives and school and other things to deal with. they are not perfect, because nobody is. and that is not a bad thing. let's not forget that this small group of teenagers has to deal with thousands of kids and teens all the time and keep them in check. put yourself in those kinds of shoes. now it doesn't seem so cool and miniscule to harass them and be stubborn and uncooperative, right? and remember that the correct solution to the countdown constantly getting so low is NOT to simply ignore rule-breaking comments or pretend that they're okay and refuse to report them to the host. the solution is to simply, and i mean this respectfully, do better. reread the rules every so often. help other people see when they're breaking the rules and, and i can't stress this enough, follow them yourself as well. as seira said, if this stuff continues, there may not be a gwdfi in the future. thank you to everyone who's actually trying to help with this issue and cooperate with the managers. special thank you to the managers themselves, you're all amazing people and i'm sorry that you have to deal with these kinds of things. to curators, i suggest reflecting on your behavior in gwdfi, and thinking, "have i been breaking the rules?" if so, refrain from doing similar things again. thanks for reading my rant, bye people!
