As the Autobots do battle with the Decepticons in the forest, Megatron and the cowardly Combaticons start their mission to take down Optimus. The Combaticons ran away quickly, but Megatron did not give up. In the battle, Optimus gets severely injured. Then Heatwave challenges Megatron in a duel. At the same time, Grimlock scares away Megatron and the Combaticons. After some time, in the military base, Optimus passes the Matrix of Leadership to Heatwave, then passes away. The Autobots grieve his death.
