I would post this in Questions about Scratch, but the mods always want you to post hypotheticals in projects or studios. Please read all of this before responding to it; there are some key details that are pretty far down in this and you probably won't catch them just by skimming it. Anyways, let's say that you have two users, @NonexistentHypotheticalUserA and @NonexistentHypotheticalUserB (both of which can't exist, by the way- I'm not trying to draw any real users into a hypothetical situation). Let's say that @NonexistentHypotheticalUserA somehow finds out a bit of personal information about @NonexistentHypotheticalUserB, like their full name or their birthday or something. @NonexistentHypotheticalUserA posts that information in a comment, and asks @NonexistentHypotheticalUserB to confirm it in the same comment. Now, @NonexistentHypotheticalUserB reports @NonexistentHypotheticalUserA for gossip, and in a best case scenario, @NonexistentHypotheticalUserB doesn't respond. However, let's say that @NonexistentHypotheticalUserB is one of the many Scratchers who doesn't typically silently report things, and decides to respond anyways. This is where the issue lies: @NonexistentHypotheticalUserB can't say that the personal information was correct, because that would be revealing personal information, which is against the Community Guidelines. However, also can't deny that the personal information was correct, because that would be lying (which is also against the CGs- they do state that you have to be honest). could say that they can't confirm or deny it, but that itself is a confirmation, because the only scenario where you would need to say that (in this type of situation) is this one. must comment (ignoring that the better outcome would be to not comment at all here; I will ignore any response to this saying that they just shouldn't comment). So which of the Community Guidelines is it more important not to break, Be Honest or Keep personal contact info private? To be clear, I'm not saying it's OK to break any of the Community Guidelines, but if you were forced to break one of those two, which would you choose?
