-------Genetic camouflage----- Use an algorithm to simulate Darwin's theory of natural selection! 1 - manual mode 2 - automatic with background change over time 3 - toggle color 1st input - sort by fitness 2nd input - make next generation -------Breakdown------- It uses a 8-bit strings to represent the organism's genetic codes. These genetic codes dictate phenotypes (physical traits). The phenotype in this simulation is color, and our fitness function is what determines how close this color is to the background (255-|Bg color-Organism color|). We can then sort the fitness with a bubble sort algorithm and eliminate the bottom half. The remainder get to reproduce asexualy (clone), with each gene having a 1% chance of mutation. Typically, after 7~ generations, the general populous will be adapted to blend in with the background. -------Credits------- Again, all code by me :). Argonaut was a huge help and largely the inspiration, check out his channel: https://www.youtube.com/@argonautcode I will be making a maze neural network with genetic algorithms as well very soon.
